University of Florida uses interactive kiosks to optimize communication with students

Intermedia Touch supports incorporate an application, custom developed, that allows students to access information related to the events that take place at the center and serves as an orientation guide around the facilities.

Florida International University (Florida International University – FIU) has installed wayfinding solutions on the MMC and BBC campuses to guide its students through the buildings, inform them about the latest faculty announcements and interact with them in a more personalized way. This project sought to optimize communication with students and members of the teaching center.

To launch this project, Intermedia Touch has developed a custom app that allows students to access information related to current FIU events, interact with the campus orientation guide and learn about other programs that enhance your educational experience. This interactive tool has different sections such as videos, access to social networks and calendar.

The application is managed from Intermadia Touch outdoor kiosks that are designed to resist the elements., as they are constructed in such a way that they are completely sealed to prevent moisture from penetrating and have integrated cooling systems to prevent overheating, weatherproof amplified sound systems and LED display 46 inches anti-glare and vandal-proof.

The kiosks that have been installed in the faculty have been covered in vinyl that reinforces the brand image of the university.
