Christie Boxer incorporates direct SDVoE content interface over 10G Ethernet
With the new capabilities, The projector directly integrates an Ethernet network to accept real-time 4K/60 AV content and control with SDVoE. The input panel allows internal processing, thereby eliminating the need to purchase an external receiver.
The capabilities of the 3DLP projector Christie Boxer, which was launched on the market three years ago, have increased, becoming a more powerful and flexible device since it offers a direct interface for visual and audio content at 4K, processing and control over 10G Ethernet.
The Christie Terra SDVoE input panel for the Boxer builds on Christie's SDVoE leadership and is a game-changer for system design and AV solutions., for the possibility it offers of complete migration to the network, integrating all media and control into a single system with a single cable.
By accepting SDVoE content over 10G Ethernet, the quality, efficiency, flexibility, performance and scalability resulting from migrating audiovisual content to the network is reflected in a novel AV solution.
“Christie Boxer is the first projector to directly integrate an Ethernet network to accept real-time 4K/60 AV content and control using SDVoE.”. The input panel allows internal processing, thereby eliminating the need to purchase an external SDVoE receiver, what would have to be installed, wire and connect to the projector”, explains Curtis Lingard, Senior Product Manager at Christie.
System solutions incorporating the transmitter, Christie Terra receiver and controller provide complete and secure operational control and management over SDVoE systems, which makes them suitable for the entertainment sectors, rental and live shows, as well as in large format display applications and critical environments such as government control rooms., the energy and telecommunications sectors, intelligent transportation systems and other high security applications.
With its intuitive network-based programming interface, The Christie Terra Controller is a solution that is easy to learn and operate, that simplifies and speeds up installation tasks, configuration, programming, management and operation of SDVoE systems.
Redundant control configuration facilitates uninterrupted operation and system updates, while its solid state storage means the absence of moving elements, ensuring long-lasting reliability, without risks or loss of operation.
“With Terra Controller and the rest of the Christie Terra family, can configure network devices, route control, configure audio, manage font and display settings, and scale all types of visuals from a single, very easy-to-use programming interface. Terra Controller offers multi-level access, system control and data encryption, user and operating system access logging, rigorous password management and further measures to ensure secure information protection”, explica Karl Johnson, Senior Product Manager at Christie.
The Christie Terra family is manufactured with standardized SDVoE technology and allows signal distribution, control, KVM processing and treatment (keyboard, video and mouse) uncompressed audiovisual content and zero-frame latency over 10G Ethernet networks, including 4K video formats at 60Hz, free of artifacts.
The Terra system comprises three products: transmitter, receiver and controller. Together they support switching, processing and control of a large number of sources and displays over great distances.
Christie made the announcement of the new capabilities incorporated into its Boxer projector in the last edition of WHEREAS 2018, which closed its doors last Friday 9 February.
