Both companies have joined forces to develop HoloIVI, a pilot application, designed on Microsoft HoloLens, that offers interaction possibilities and allows 3D models of the reproductive system to be controlled by gestures and voice.

IVI and Kabel develop HoloIVI

The Valencian Institute of Infertility (IVI) y Cable have developed HoloIVI, a pilot mixed reality application developed on Microsoft HoloLens through which professionals and clients can visualize the female reproductive system in 3D and with meticulous realism, including detail about certain situations related to the human reproductive process.

Thanks to this technological development, The IVI team can show its clients different pathologies such as fibroids with great realism., endometriosis or mullerian malformations, being able to give a more detailed explanation, improving your customer experience.

The interaction possibilities offered by Kabel on the three-dimensional model include a command menu with which you can see the female reproductive system on a human skeleton to size it in its context and dissect those parts that facilitate the visualization of the pathology.. It also has gesture control and voice commands to rotate and manipulate it as needed.. HoloIVI makes it easy to write custom annotations that can be placed anywhere on the three-dimensional model for each client..

In addition to the benefits that HoloIVI can provide for better understanding by the client, This technology is a very useful tool for learning and explaining pathologies to professionals.. 3D allows us to generate much more authentic experiences and simulations, that enrich the learning and understanding process for professionals.

“These types of platforms facilitate patient care in processes of understanding pathologies and planning treatment.”, offering better use of available resources. Besides, in more delicate processes, “Voice and gesture control frees the hands which is a clear enabler for medical professionals.”, Tomás Gonzalez highlights, director de Marketing, Kabel Alliances and Business Development.
