HBMSU University bets on connected LED lighting

The connected Led lighting solution, that has been installed at the University, It is controlled by the Philips Lighting Interact Office system.

Philips Lighting has equipped Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) of Dubai with a connected Led lighting solution, controlled by your Interact Office system.

This technology allows faculty staff to control and customize lighting settings from a smartphone, while students can be guided to rooms using lighting-based Indoor Positioning technology.

Sensor control

Instead of using switches, The lighting of the University is controlled by occupancy sensors in the luminaires, via a smartphone or tablet application and from a center console.

Sensors detect the presence of people to turn them on and off, in addition to allowing lighting levels to be automatically adjusted based on the availability of natural light.

El servicio de navegación interior utiliza la aplicación del smartphone de la universidad. The heating system, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) synchronizes with class schedule, to turn on the air conditioning before class starts, adjusting the temperature before the arrival of the students. When the teachers or students enter, The lights turn on thanks to the presence detector and when the room is empty, lights and air conditioning turn off.
