Unity Project Mars offers developers to accelerate the creation of mixed reality applications
The company has developed a set of tools, which will be available in a few months, as recently announced at its corporate conference in Berlin.
Project Mars (mixed and augmented reality studio) is the new extension of the development platform Unity so that programmers can “create mixed and augmented reality applications that live and react to the world”, as Timoni West has assured, Director of XR Research at Unity Labs, which will be available in autumn.
With it, Developers will have a set of tools to specify parameters for objects and proximity elements, real space, plano, etc. no code required, and in this way create more innovative applications, of multiple planes and mixed and augmented reality spaces in a more intuitive way, accurate and fast.
Unity also wants to establish with Project Mars an ecosystem of extensions from different providers, so that developers have a greater number of plugins and availability for mobile devices at their disposal (ARkit y ARcore), smart viewers (Magic Leap, etc).
