In order to create a spectacular installation, which was part of the Balenciaga catwalk at Paris Fashion Week (Paris Fashion Week) 2018, which was held at the end of September and beginning of October, infiLED supplied more than 7.000 paneles Led.
InfiLED worked closely with the Canadian artist and filmmaker, Jon Rafman, who was commissioned by the fashion house Balenciaga to create a creation that would form part of a fashion show highlighting the impact of technology on society and the world.. This was Rafman's first experience in creating a dynamic set with Led panels., and infiLED provided its knowledge and experience to achieve the surprising result that was sought..
Working with your French distributor Image Video Services (IVS), InfiLED supplied more than 7.000 pieces from its range of X panels, ER and SF to create a narrow tunnel and catwalk on which the fashion show took place.
The curved walls of the tunnel were created with infiLED X-series modules, that have a stacking and suspension system, combined with ER series, which has a precise curve frame option, with an easily adjustable angle coupler. This allows for concave or convex curved configurations of up to 20°..
For the catwalk, The smaller SF series modules were used as a flexible solution that could be easily adjusted and removed, and that could withstand the force of the footprint. While delivering vivid colors and graphics at all times.
during the parade, The LED panels illuminated the entire walkway and tunnel with psychedelic projections that showed everything from a multicolored periodic table to metal structures.
“This incredible project truly pushed the boundaries of visual media created with Led panels and was hailed as one of the most talked about shows of the iconic Paris Fashion Week.. The flexibility of our range of high-quality LED screens will allow the world's greatest artists to continue creating pioneering installations.”, comments Ben DaCosta, co-founder and CEO of InfiLED.
