Genelec monitors provide sound for every occasion at Joan's Café
The Lefflers AV integrator has installed a total of 18 monitores Genelec 4030C, in a system distributed by zones that is managed by a Control4 system, in combination with a Triad matrix.
Joan’s Café was founded in 2008 a vineyard, en el condado de Södermanland (Sweden), developing its activity under the concept of a bar/restaurant with live DJ. Given its popularity, the company has opened two more locations in Finspang and Karlskoga.
The Finspang franchise has invested in a high-quality sound system from Genelec, complemented with lighting and control, to improve customer experience, either during the day at food, at afternoon coffee, or with drinks and dinner in the evening followed by live music or a DJ performance.
To carry out the project, Joan’s Finspang turned to the systems integrator specialist Lefflers AV Partner AB to design and install a system that responded to the requirements sought and was easy to use by restaurant staff.
“During dinner you want full sound, warm, but at a low and discreet level to be able to have a conversation with the rest of the table. At night, when the DJ or the band enters the scene, You have to be able to turn up the volume and maintain a vibrant and detailed sound but at a much higher level. Monitors for installation of the series 4000 from Genelec were the ideal solution for this application”, explica Mattias 'Matti' Björkman de Lefflers AV.
Lefflers AV installed a total of 18 compact monitors Genelec 4030C, brand that distributes Audio-Technica Iberia, within a system distributed by zones throughout the restaurant. These teams are managed by a system of Control4 in combination with a Triad matrix.
“We opted for the 4030C because although compact, They are very powerful and have enough bass to be used without sub, even at high sound pressure levels. This means they sound great in the restaurant but can also work really well if there is a DJ or small band playing.”.
Mattias also highlights the amplification and processing that integrate each monitor and allow simple operation by simply connecting them., “which is ideal for non-technical restaurant staff. It also saves costs and space as there are no amplifiers to purchase or install.”. Another great benefit that he points out is that it is available in 120 RAL colors, “And for Joan’s we chose the gold monitors since they fit perfectly with the decoration.””.
The audio system is distributed in five zones: the bar, the front of the restaurant, the rear, the stage and the outdoor terrace. All of this can be controlled independently, through a centralized touch screen located behind the bar. This allows staff to select different sources and manage volume levels for each zone as required..
