The manufacturer will bring its new hybrid touch technology, that allows the total integration of physical controls in the active area of the touch screen, with XY500 controller, to the Amsterdam competition.

Zytronic hibrid touch ZXY500

Participating one more edition in Integrated Systems Europe (WHEREAS), the manufacturer Zytronic will show in preview, of the 5 al 8 February 2019 in Amsterdam (hall 8 – stand G351), its new hybrid touch technology, that integrates all physical controls on an active touch screen. To do this, you will use a 55” touch table with the new integrated sensors., and in which visitors will be able to test its advantages with a classic board game.

As already mentioned Digital AV, Zytronic hybrid touch allows mechanical buttons and dials to be incorporated into the active area of projected capacitive touch screens (PCT), that can be used in video walls, touch tables and digital kiosks.

This technology gives designers the best of both worlds: the flexibility of touch sensors and the feel of mechanical controls, without the need to incorporate a separate keypad below or next to the screen.

Zytronic ZXY500Physical buttons and dials can be placed in and around the active area of the PCT screen and connect, invisibly, through the visible area of the screen. It is the first time that the two most used control technologies in the world are integrated in this way.

This is how Ian Crosby explains it, Zytronic sales and marketing director, “The use of Hybrid Touch in the new ZXY500 controller has allowed us to design a fun and functional table that combines the two most used control technologies in the world. Patented Hybrid Touch technology adds a new dimension in capacity and flexibility. We look forward to sharing this experience with our visitors in its first appearance at ISE 2019.”.

Zytronic designs and manufactures hybrid touch sensors, with precision machined openings in the touch sensor, located and molded according to the specifications of the system designers, allowing chosen dials or switches to be placed exactly where they are needed and to be invisible to the user of the system.

Zytronic ZXY500With support for up to eighty simultaneous touches, Zytronic's ZXY500 controller allows touch sensors to be designed with an ultra-narrow dead edge, using the maximum viewing area and with an elegant appearance.

Higher controller speed updates touch coordinates in just one millisecond at controller output, reducing touch latency by a third, compared to previous generation drivers, and improving user experience.

ZXY500 Drivers, easier to integrate into a system than ever, enable a faster and more responsive user experience, even in demanding outdoor and unattended locations where users may be wearing gloves or applying only a light touch.
