The Hog 4-18 upgrades to its predecessor with 18.5-inch touch screens and a revamped industrial design with aluminum lock wheels and integrated accessories.
Hog 4 has announced the release of the revamped version of its flagship console under the name Hog 4-18, which together with OS v3.11 software represents the reinvention of this brand represented by Entertainment Equipment Supplies (EES). This novelty is joined by Hog 4's partnership with Capture visualization software.
The Hog 4-18 upgrades the Hog 4 with 18.5-inch touch screens and a revamped industrial design with aluminum lock wheels and integrated accessories.
With an 8,192-channel output (expandable with DP8K processors), Hog 4-18 has eight XLR-5 DMX, sACN and Art-Net outputs, MIDI and dual etherCON connections for HogNet and FixtureNet.
The table features five high-resolution parameter encoders, built-in three-axis backlit trackball and 10 master players with motorized faders and master control keys. Up to three external display port monitors or touch screen monitors can be used.
The OS Hog 3.11 contains several important updates, with support for Hog 4-18 console hardware, an increase to 12 output universes for Hog 4 PCs, additional graphics icons, and a better indication of the current cue in cue's list window.
Other minor improvements include the option to change the 'Fixture Schedule' button to 'Add Fixtures' to simplify the application of patching, sorting 'User' and 'Generic' at the top of the list in the list of devices to reduce scrolling; Support CITP for Hippotizer Layer v4.4 and various bug fixes.
Another highlight is the change from the display included in the Hog family to a Capture lighting design software license, at the solo, duo or quartet level, according to Hog's console. These are standard Capture licenses that can be upgraded to higher levels in the standard way.
