d&b Soundscape combines art and engineering in Prolight+Sound 2019
The company holds training sessions with renowned sound experts, who explain their experiences using their systems and answer questions from attendees.
In the sessions called My Soundscape what d&b Soundscape, of d&b audiotechnick perform these days in Prolight+Sound 2019 (at 14:30h), several special guests explain their experiences working with these systems, answer attendees' questions and play audio samples (cue samples), in an hour-long debate.
The first was with the famous theater sound designer Sebastian Frost, who has explained his experience working on the musical The Last Ship the Sting. In today's session, 3 April, Imogen Heap, Grammy award-winning artist and sound engineer, offers his insight into using Soundscape during his tour Mycelia.
Thursday's session is led by Serge Gräfe, engineer and sound designer, who will provide his perspective on the creation of multidimensional soundscapes, performed with German electronic pioneers Kraftwerk on their 3D world tour.
In other daily sessions, titled Art and Engineering with d&b Soundscape, that take place every day of the contest at 11:00h and at 16:00h in english, and at 12:30h in german, visitors can listen to artists, FoH sound designers and mixers discuss their experience creating art and engineering working with d&b Soundscape.
These include multitrack mixes of performances in which Soundscape has been used., information about how to work daily with this technology, in addition to advances on what future developments may be.
The demo room&b Soundscape also showcases the full range of integration possibilities for sound desks, DAW plug-ins and tracking systems. in this space, attendees have the opportunity to make their own mix on a Soundscape system, with a fully integrated Lawo sound table.
At the same time as this complete program of events takes place, d&b introduces its new integration partners BlackTrax and Zactrack Lighting Technologies. Working in collaboration with multimedia equipment provider Amptown System Company (ASC), the d team&b has developed a SoftwareBridge for the BlackTrax real-time motion tracking system.
Added to this is the integration carried out with lighting technology specialists Zactrack, and specifically with its automated Follow System tracking system of the same name.
