The 4K-HDR Summit in Malaga publishes the agenda for its fifth edition
In total they will be 25 presentations and 4 panels that will take place at the event. Reports will be provided, proposals and visions about this new technology, which for three days brings together experts from all over the world in Malaga.
Medina Media Events, organizer of the 4K-HDR Summit, has published the agenda for the fifth edition of the main world summit on 4K, which will be celebrated from 6 al 8 of November in the Malaga Digital Content Hub.
This summit, which has Panorama Audiovisual as media partner, magazine of the Underwood Communication group to which Digital AV Magazine also belongs, will have a total of 25 presentations and 4 dashboards that will provide reports, proposals and visions about this new technology, which for three days brings together in Malaga the best speakers from other international forums such as the NABShow in Las Vegas, the IBC in Amsterdam and the MIPCOM in Cannes.
In addition to the presentations and panels, This year at the 4K-HDR Summit tributes will be paid to Toni Feliu, senior manager en Panasonic (Thursday 7 November at 17:45h), and Luis Martínez, Director of Programs at Canal Sur Málaga (Friday 8 November at 13:35h); colleagues in the audiovisual sector who have recently died.
Within the framework of this international summit, the constitution of the UHD Spain Association will also take place. The best analysts in 4K and 8K
The opening day will begin with a presentation by María Rua, international analyst at IHS Markit, based in London, who will share with attendees a report on the global evolution of 4K.
Nacho Monge, TV&AV Marketing Director Iberia of the Korean multinational Samsung will be the second speaker to intervene, to expose the first 8K HDR10+ sports content produced in Spain together with the Repsol Honda Moto GP Team.
Mohammed Hamza, main analyst of the American S&P Global, will return to the 4K-HDR Summit to present, on this occasion, an exclusive report on 4K technology, that is revolutionizing the smartphone market.
Michel Chabrol, senior vice president New TV Formats de Eutelsat (France), will offer an exclusive report on the satellites' ability to transmit in 4K and 8K UHD.
On the other hand, Canadian Ross Video, represented by Néstor Amaya, vice president of Infraestructure, will explain the pragmatic video signal relay infrastructure using 12G-SDI and IP for 4K UHD production.
12G-SDI is a solution used for video broadcast system by audiovisual companies to reduce the weight and complexity of the system, eliminating dozens of cables in 4K UHD productions. The 12G-SDI transmission system allows working with 4K up to 60fps.

NASA and Tokyo 2020
The second day of the 4K-HDR Summit will begin with the presentation of Carlos Fontanot, director of images of the International Space Station (ISS) from NASA, who will return from the Johnson Space Center to the capital of the Costa del Sol to talk about the use of 4K and 8K on board the ISS, the challenges of downloading files to shore, the impact of gamma rays on sensors, the training that crew members receive, and working with commercial partners to widely distribute and use NASA material.
After the west of Fontanot, Mickaël Raulet, director of Research & Innovation from the French broadcast company Ateme will talk about 'next-generation audio'’ as an improvement of High Dynamic Range video services (HDR), applied to major events such as Eurovision, Rock in Rio o Roland Garros.
Ateme will once again participate in the 4K-HDR Summit in Malaga to present its projects, always at the forefront of the latest technologies: cutting-edge audio and video codecs in HDR.

Juan Antonio Vigar, Director of the Malaga Festival will close the day by addressing the attendees and inviting them to attend the awards ceremony of the “Málaga 4K Fest” festival and subsequent screenings of the winning shorts., which will take place from 19:00h on friday 8 November at the Albéniz Cinema in Malaga.
The mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre, will also participate in the closing of the 4K-HDR Summit and will speak just before the tribute to Luis Martínez, Director of Canal Sur Programs, recently deceased.
