Christie helps launch first robot theme park

To launch the main attractions of the Gyeongnam Masan Robot Land, 48 DWU850-GS and eight D13WU-HS laser projectors; plus Pandoras Box Single and Quad players, OCTO Dual and Quad servers, Pandora's Box Manager and Widget Designer.

He Gyeongnam Masan Robot Land, the world's first theme park dedicated to intelligent robotics, has incorporated a wide array of laser projectors into its facilities, video processing and real-time control systems, with the aim of offering spectacular visuals and reinforcing the visitor experience.

Located in Changwon City, on the southeast coast of South Korea, Gyeongnam Masan Robot Land occupies an area of 1,25 million square meters and consists of a research and development center, one convention and one theme park.

Its main attractions, that combine robotic technology with entertainment, work with GS and HS Series 1DLP laser projectors Christie, and with Pandoras Box Single and Quad players, OCTO Dual and Quad servers, Pandora's Box Manager and Widget Designer. Christie's Korean partners have been responsible for the installation of these systems, Star Networks y Digital Line Technology Group (DLT Group).

DWU850-GS projectors are used, above all, in projection mapping and immersive projections that transport the visitor to futuristic worlds with the help of high-tech robots.

The D13WU-HS projectors are at the service of the spectacular dome of the flying theater. Under the title of Wing of Cosmos, This immersive attraction contains a twenty-meter-high full dome screen and 4K resolution content produced entirely by DLT Group. This is completed with seats equipped with movement and surround audio, making it the most popular attraction in the park.

Para Won Ham, Pandoras Box constitutes the backbone of the park's attractions, since it connects all audiovisual systems and controls various aspects, like projection mapping, el blending, multichannel audio and lighting. Besides all that, The Widget Designer acts as the largest graphical user interface for projectors, audio and video equipment and robotic systems in the respective themed attractions.
