Barco has reached WHEREAS 2020 with the announcement of a new Internet of Things solution (IoT) cloud-based for better projector management. Insights is the new connectivity platform that simplifies and facilitates remote monitoring and serviceability.

The introduction of Barco Insights aims to bring efficiency, reliability and flexibility. Reduces time-consuming and error-prone manual administration, thanks to cloud storage of projector usage data and light source run times.

Live dashboards also provide real-time information on projectors' operating and environmental conditions for more effective device analysis and proactive troubleshooting..

Users can securely access the IoT platform with any device with an Internet connection. No complex configuration or network configuration required, neither a local host PC nor software to install to make everything work.

The launch of this subscription-based cloud platform will take place in different stages with functionality that will be available gradually over the course of 2020. Basic features will be automatically integrated into UDM projectors, of which Barco has also released a 15K lumens version (UDM-4K15 y UDM-W15) an ISE 2020.

The UDM is a small, ultra-lightweight projector that delivers sharp images and dazzling colors, surpassing the Rec. 709 space color.
