The Adecia smart conferencing solution that has just been presented internationally Yamaha applies automated meeting room tuning and dynamic, multibeam tracking to the challenges of today's and tomorrow's conference environments.

Adecia is a complete and customizable audio solution for remote conferencing and collaboration, designed to provide flexible audio intelligence for meeting spaces that can be used in a wide variety of locations and situations.

Available from the first quarter of 2021, Adecia is based on the Dante audio network and comprises the new RM-CG dynamic beamforming ceiling array microphone, the RM-CR room-specific conference processor, Yamaha VXL1-16P linear speakers and SWR2311P-10G optimized PoE+ switch.

Very easy to install, configure and operate, The 'heart' of the system is the RM-CR conference processor, which automatically recognizes microphones and speakers on the same network. During startup it automatically sets the optimal sound settings for the environment, taking into account the placement of speakers and microphones, room reverb characteristics and echo responses.

Autotuning is achieved with a simple five-step process using a special web-based interface. The system then performs an automatic mix of all connected Dante audio sources.

The conference processor can handle a wide range of sources, including dynamic microphones, Analog Line Level I/O, USB, Bluetooth and SIP telephony. RM-CG dynamic ceiling microphone features multi-beam tracking technology that focuses on vocals.

Thanks to the special spiral arrangement of its microphone elements, RM-CG provides the narrowest and most accurate beam for voice capture, while continuous background noise is eliminated using Yamaha's advanced noise reduction algorithms and Human Voice Activity Detection (WHAT). Combined with its beam tracking technology, can clearly pick up individual voices, even when more than one person is speaking.

Adecia has other smart audio technologies, like speaker tracking, adaptive acoustic echo cancellation and more, to deliver crystal-clear, stress-free remote communications, no need for technical knowledge to configure the system.

Dante audio and control and power are supplied via a LAN cable, while three different mounting methods are included (on the roof, Vesa and cable) to adapt to any space.

Yamaha's RM-CG ceiling microphone and RM-CR processor are also designed to work seamlessly with other Yamaha and third-party components for an even more flexible system design..

For example, if a Yamaha MRX7-D matrix processor is used with a PoE switch that supplies at least 15 watts, The RM-CG microphone can be integrated into existing installations (in this case automated room alignment is not available).

“As times and business requirements change, achieve impeccable audio quality in training rooms, conferences, meeting and multi-use typically requires expensive design specialization, installation and commissioning - explains Nils-Peter Keller, senior director of Pro Audio & AV Group Yamaha Europe-. “The introduction of Adecia now allows customers to easily customize and configure a professional audio solution for remote conferencing and collaboration.”.

With added security requirements in current spaces, “Adecia provides a conference experience without physical contact, which means that remote work and social distancing have no impact on the ability to communicate”, this manager emphasizes.
