LLC has announced the NV-32-H multipurpose network video end point (Core Capable) for the Q-SYS ecosystem. This module, which is configured by software, Allows you to switch between 'Core Mode', which transforms the device into a fully functional Q-SYS processor with HDMI local switching capabilities, and its current 'Peripheral Mode', Designed for network HDMI video distribution over standard AV networks.

QSC presented the NV-32-H module (Core Capable) joining the Q-SYS Core processing range as a multi-purpose, software-configurable video end node. Ideal for collaborative rooms (integrated video switch).

“Our definition of meeting rooms has changed dramatically in the last nine months, with a greater need for smaller rooms. We took this opportunity to rethink the NV-32-H and develop a comprehensive, multipurpose end point that offers integrators the flexibility to meet varying room requirements.. In addition, reduce el hardware, especially for rooms where space is very limited, and integration is simplified and system costs are optimized”, notes Josh Arnold, Senior Product Manager, QSC Installed Systems.

The NV-32-H's new 'Core Mode' offers a full-featured audio processing engine for the Q-SYS ecosystem, including 32x32 network audio channels, eight AEC channels, a VoIP softphone instance and optional support for Dante software. Like the rest of the Q-SYS processing products, It also has a solid control motor, software based, enabling easy control integration for native Q-SYS devices, as well as for third-party connected devices.

Besides, like the new NV-32-H ( Core Capable) is specially designed to serve in-room video collaboration spaces, It also integrates a 3x2 video switcher for HDMI sources, locally connected. This feature represents a huge time and cost savings for meeting rooms, as well as small and medium-sized classrooms that require easy control of input selection (PC, BYOD devices, document cameras) and the exits (multiple screens or projectors) of the room, as it eliminates the need for a stand-alone switching device and costly integration requirements.

‘Peripheral Mode’ converts the device into a multi-stream network video end node for HDMI video encoding/decoding for video distribution for the Q-SYS ecosystem. It allows video distribution needs within larger collaboration spaces to strike a balance between quality, network latency and efficiency.

In both 'Core Mode' and 'Peripheral Mode', el NV-32-H ( Core Capable) offers simplified integration for web conferencing applications such as Microsoft Teams Rooms (Teams certification in progress), Zoom y Google Hangouts Meet. These devices act as a plug-and-play access point for USB streaming of Q-SYS audio and conference room cameras..

“We have stated from the beginning that Q-SYS is nothing more than software. The dual personality of the new NV-32-H is resounding proof of this belief. Our confidence in standard Intel processing combined with our ability to innovate in software has allowed us to infuse a new level of flexibility and scalability into Q-SYS., particularly to meet the rapidly changing needs of the collaboration space”, comments Mike Brandes, Q-SYS Product Manager at QSC.
