Sharp NEC Display Solutions Europe has joined Intuiface, open source software platform offering interactive digital signage solutions, and Nexmosphere, specialist in sensors and interactive controls for retail, to offer a new digital signage solution for this sector.

This technological collaboration materializes in Entrance Flow Management, that will bring Intuiface's experience in the management of customer inflows to the retail sector.

The new solution combines the key features of the three companies: the underlying intuiface platform is joined by the Nexmosphere technique and sharp NEC Display professional displays, leveraging BrightSign's integrated HO523 OPS to deliver the best customer experience.

Entrance Flow Management is a dynamic solution for counting and communicating with customers, for retail businesses to provide a safe space and control capacity efficiently.

This technology performs input and output counting, comparing it in real time to store or business capacity to provide guidance to customers through screens on whether or not they should enter a store. Solution images can be customized to suit any business context.

"We are very proud to work together with Sharp NEC and Nexmosphere to implement our flow management expertise to the immediate needs of the market," says Vincent Encontre., Director of Operations of Intuiface-. The combination of our code-free content creation software, with the sensors and screens of these companies it is very well achieved and we hope that the integrators will start to deploy the solution immediately".

This solution incorporates Nexmosphere X-Eye Presence, a small IR sensor capable of detecting whether a person is present and their proximity to the device. When placed at both the entrance and exit of the store, the data you provide creates a solution that performs a count, dynamically and accurately, of visitors entering and leaving a specific area.

"We have before us an excellent example of how sensors and interactive digital signage can be used to create great experiences on commercial surfaces.. This collaboration provides them with a perfect solution, easy to install and with great flexibility to adapt to the specific needs of each client", points out Ivo Wouters, Nexmosphere product manager.

This technology of Intuiface and Nexmosphere adds to that of professional screens of Sharp NEC, with different programming options and providing clear and easy to understand information both to customers and to all actors in the retail sector, contributing to the new flow management solution being cost-effective and highly efficient.

"The effort made to combine the expertise of these companies, all industry references in their areas of competence, it has been a real pleasure. The persistence of COVID-19 and its adverse effects has forced the retail sector to implement changes to continue its activity. This solution provides much-needed support so that all businesses can better adapt to this new and challenging normal. Customer safety is the top priority", concludes Nils Karsten, Director of Strategic Alliances at Sharp NEC Display Solutions Europe.
