Black Box combines digital signage and temperature detection with BDS-8

This versatile all-in-one digital kiosk offers the visualization of products and services, in addition to rapid non-contact temperature measurement, facial recognition and mask detection.

The manufacturer Black Box has developed a digital kiosk, called BDS-8, in which it has incorporated the opportunities offered by digital signage in terms of promoting products and services, with the need to protect people from contagion by COVID-19.

For this, BDS-8 not only incorporates a screen, HDMI and audio output, but also integrates a temperature detection system with facial recognition. An all-in-one system that any user can easily configure and start using.

Black Box has designed BDS-8 in three different versions to adapt to the needs of each space: with floor stand, wall or table mount.

This temperature screening kiosk uses infrared thermal imaging and rapid temperature screening to help identify people who may be susceptible to being sick, which is part of a Black Box security program to provide a safe return to work and access to any facility, corporate, educational, commercial, etc.

BDS-8 reads a visitor's temperature in less than a second, with an accuracy of ± 0,9 °F (± 0,5 °C), without any direct contact. After reading, The kiosk screen displays a message with the temperature data that, if it is high, activate audio alerts, with a storage capacity of up to 30.000 entries.

Detection is carried out even at a distance of up to 1 subway and several visitors at the same time, making it an ideal solution for applications with a lot of foot traffic, like schools, hospitals, shopping centers,… and integrates with any security system.
