UC Hastings University uses dnp screens for conference rooms
To solve the problem of high ambient light and reduce image contrast, At the Faculty of Law, a Supernova XL device was chosen, equipped with ALR technology.
The UC Hastings School of Law needed large format front projection screens for its conference rooms. These are used to make presentations and meetings, in addition to teaching.
The main problem was that the high ambient light would reduce the image contrast on the screens. The AV Designer, Charles Salter & Associates, called rp Visual Solutions (RPV) to choose the best option.
RPV recommended the Supernova XL display dnp denmark, designed with ALR technology (Ambient Light Rejecting), which allows the projected light to reflect back to the viewer. The 3D printed microscopic structure creates up to 7 times the contrast and maintains colors better, vs. standard broadcast front projection screens.
Compared to Led, Supernova XL is an economical, high contrast solution that allows you to see and understand what is presented without dimming any of the ceiling lights. This model is sold in a size up to 230 inches in format 16:9, making it the ideal choice for large rooms with spectators seated further away.
“The dnp Supernova XL screens were easy to install and our client was very satisfied with the finished product”, says Justin Davis, project director of the project integrating company Avidex. Besides, Supernova XL is a lightweight option compared to video walls.
To complete the project, these have been combined with laser projectors Panasonic 12K.
