The Japanese audiovisual integrator Bestec Audio has carried out the renovation project for the music room of this cultural center.

Although its real name is Kitakami Cultural Exchange Center, is popularly known as Sakura Hall, which is a community center located in the Iwate prefecture of Japan, whose rooms have hosted performances by national groups and local independent artists since it began its activity, in it 2003.

Sakura Hall also has rooms for art and craft workshops; rehearsal for ballet and dance, and with a music room for fans to practice after office hours. As the years go by, One of the center's priority problems was to change the sound system to continue offering good quality to its users..

The main objective of the installation was to offer clear sound, with uniform coverage, especially for storytelling performances, known as Rakugo, in which audience members sit on the third floor.

For this reason, Sakura Hall officials were looking for an online arrangement system. “The choice of system was a challenge, but in the end we choose L-Acoustics for its clarity of sound and for being a reference in online arrangements. We also appreciated that your solution included LA Network Manager amplified controllers and show control.”, explains Tatsuya Sato.

The main installation comprises seven Kara systems in the center of the proscenium, supported by two Kiva IIs flown below as frontfills. Speaker locations on both sides of the auditorium are divided into three levels: three Karas per side cover the seats on the third floor of the upper section, while seven Kara cabinets are used in the center section.

Added to this configuration are two subwoofer SB18 to boost low frequencies, along with an X12 deployed to do it equally in the first rows of this medium level. Besides, two Kiva II cabinets have been placed on each side to cover seating on the upper third level, with an additional A15 Wide per side to cover a small hidden seating segment on this floor.

Bestec Audio completed the system with a mobile component of three subwoofer A15 Focus and back KS21, which can be used when the large room hosts live music performances that require more dynamic reinforcement or for use ad-hoc in another smaller room.
