Boat Jan De WitteAfter playing a crucial role in the strategic change of the Belgian multinational ship, Jan De White will step down as CEO in September, responsibility to be assumed by Charles Beauduin and An Steegen.

Jan De Witte has decided to leave the position of CEO of the audiovisual multinational ship, with effect from the 1 September 2021, and which the Management Board has decided to replace with the appointment of Charles Beauduin and An Steegen as co-executive directors.

As they point out from the Belgian firm, Jan De Witte has played a crucial role in the change of course of Barco since 2016: “has focused its attention on the company, has strengthened the team; optimized the portfolio towards a solution strategy, improved digital capabilities and further internationalized the company, and led it during the difficult period of COVID-19”.

For its part, Jan De Witte has assured to be “proud of what we have accomplished together with the leadership team and the entire organization over the past five years, with the support and trust I have enjoyed from Charles and our board members. During the pandemic, Barco has been able to strengthen its opportunities for resilience and growth and is in a position to maximize them under the leadership of Charles and An.”.

In this sense, Charles Beauduin and An Steegen will start as co-CEOs of the company the next 1 september and 1 October, respectively, “who form the perfect tandem to lead Barco in the coming years”.

With this designation and according to the company's statement, “Barco is more committed than ever to innovation, growth and entrepreneurship. The focus is on greater internationalization in view of its global commercial and technological leadership in different markets.”.

Frank Donck has also been named, who since April 2015 has been an independent director of Barco, as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Barco, with effect from the 1 September.
