Plan in MFS

For meeting spaces MFS has opted for a led videowall planar TVF, with a pixel pitch of 1,2, in configuration of 5×5. And in the research room have been installed two videowall TVF1.2 in 4×4.

Founded in 1924, MFS Investment Management is one of the oldest investment companies in the world, with almost a century of experience in active management. Based in Boston, has offices around the world and is credited with creating the first investment fund, the Massachusetts Investors Trust, that continues to operate today.

In the two meeting spaces, located at the company's corporate headquarters in Boston, existing videowall systems had reached the end of their useful life, which led MFS to start the search for an optimal replacement solution. “Buscábamos la tecnología más actual y queríamos evitar tener que hacer cambios arquitectónicos significativos, ya que ambas salas habían sido diseñadas a medida para adaptarse a los videowalls anteriores”, Says Brian Katziff, director of the audiovisual group of MFS Investment Management.

Spaces include an executive boardroom and a meeting area that MFS calls ‘the research room’. Each has been designed with a specific need for display technology.

The consultation process comes to Planar TVF

To help identify the best display and rendering technology for these spaces, MFS hired the audiovisual integrator and technology solutions provider Adtech Systems. Senior account executive and systems designer Jim Ares subsequently led MFS through a research process to evaluate the full range of options..

We learn a lot about videowall systems, as the pixel pitch, the resolution and processing of background video. We examined how they planned to use display technology, incluyendo lo que se mostraría”, clarifies Ares.

The evaluation of the use case was a key aspect.

An important part of the approach of both rooms revolved around the content needs and the choice of the ideal pixel pitch to ensure that the visibility of data and graphics was optimized throughout the space.. Other factors that were taken into account were the cost of the pixel pitch, the guarantee, maintenance programs, serviceability and power requirements.

Adtech Systems installed in the executive boardroom a Led videowall Planar TVF of almost 3 meters long and 1,5 high with a pixel pitch of 1,2 Mm (TVF1.2), in a configuration of 5×5. In the research room, another TVF1.2 system of 5 has been installed×5 which is flanked on both sides by a model of similar characteristics in configurations of 4×4.

A visual statement

In both rooms, Led Planar TVF video walls are an important statement and greatly enhance MFS's ability to highlight and communicate research, ideas and information.

“En ellas se muestran muchos datos, whether they are spreadsheets, Graphics, PowerPoint or PDF files, and the clarity and sharpness of the content exceeds what we had with previous systems.

Adtech was able to integrate the videowalls in the predominant constructions of each room without the need to add additional power or cooling requirements.
