Instronic transforms the entrance of the Aqua building into an immersive space
The lobby of the Aqua office building in Madrid has become an immersive space when you walk through, fruit of the project Instronic, with dynamic study content Deluxe, with water as a common thread.
Located in the center of Madrid, the office building Aqua, developed by RKV and designed by the architect Pedro Sentieri It consists of ten floors, whose entrance hall offers an immersive experience to those who visit it; a unique visual identity, differential and iconic defined and executed by Instronic.
“RKV asked us to design a solution for the entrance hall of their new Aqua office building - they explain from Instronic -, giving it a strong identity that would serve as a pole of attraction for future tenants and would become a reference space in the Madrid office market.”.
The project focused on transforming the entrance area of this building: a hall of 71 m. in length and 5 high that runs through the entire building longitudinally connecting its two main facades, in a immersive space and inspiring surroundings when traversed.
To unify this space and give it continuity, the Instronic team made a different design, since it was previously intended as a corridor open to the outside, and conceive it as a channel for access flows of building users.
The final design is based on a huge Led wall in the shape of L, with a surface of about 190 m², which acts as the main element of the entire space, with an important influence on the setting and colorimetry of the space.
“The idea was to treat the contents in an artistic context that would decorate and transform the lobby and main entrance of the Aqua building, with water as a common thread, which has been divided into four blocks: Flow, Nature, Underwater y Textures (current, nature, underwater and textures)”, they emphasize from Instronic.
With this vision and from an artistic point of view, the content tries to ‘accompany’ to the visitor on the tour through the lobby, with images and immersive language, in which the study has participated Deluxe, with Nacho Platero in charge of creative direction.
on the block Underwater, The content immerses the visitor in the underwater world to enhance the immersive nature of the installation, adapting the recreation of underwater scenarios to the large volume of the Led screen.
In Flow Content based on fluids and inks produced in macro on a model has been created., that replicates the shape of the screen to scale, so that it plays with the geometry itself of this.
For the block Textures “It is played with the fluid as the central axis of the piece, trying to move away from the most hyperrealistic representation. The content plays with the essence of moving water and its relationship with the environment”, they explain from the company.
In Nature scenes of spectacular landscapes are recreated made with the technique of matte painting, ad-hoc scenarios with very slow nature images, where water is the protagonist, also created by the Deluxe team.
