The Palace debuts the E11Even Sound speakers in New York

This is the first nightlife venue in the city to use E11Even Sound speakers, fruit of the alliance of E11 The student y THE audio. Equipment that provides the electronic music venue with a high level of acoustic energy.

Located on the legendary corner of SoHo and TriBeCa, The Palace It is a nightlife venue that opened its doors at the beginning of September. This space, which is destined to become the new fashionable place in the city, It is the first venue of its kind in New York to use speakers E11Even Sound, brand that is the result of the collaboration carried out at the beginning of the year between THE audio y E11Even. Equipment specifically designed to inject a high level of acoustic energy into electronic dance music venues.

Canal Sound & Light was hired to design and install the new sound reinforcement system at The Palace. Its owner and director, Jeffrey Kwan, worked with John Fiorito, sales manager for nightclubs and hospitality in the United States, with the aim of formulating a sound system design that met the expectations of The Palace management.

Together they installed a DAS E11Even Sound speaker setup designed by Fiorito and commissioned with Geovanni Ortiz, which uses the Smaart acoustic measurement and instrumentation software toolset from Rational Acoustic.

“Given the complexity of offering good sound in the multiple areas of the premises, “John Fiorito was on site throughout the entire process to assist our staff and ensure the highest level of satisfaction for The Palace management.”, commented Kwan.

A four-point configuration with four full-range speakers has been installed on the main dance floor. 2 ways DAS E11Even Sound ES-1. As support in low frequencies, These speakers are reinforced by a dual subwoofer transducer. 21 inches ES-221. This box is located under the DJ booth/stage.
In addition, two passive subwoofers with bass enhancer have been installed. ES-218 offering additional support in the lower notes.

The Palace has two bar areas and a second level. The first bar area has two passive speakers of 2 ways THE ES-26, with low frequency support from a compact subwoofer DAS Quantum Series Q-10.

The second bar area has four DAS ES-26 boxes and another two Quantum Q-10 subwoofers..
On the second level, the Canal Sound team & Light has installed six speakers THE ES6 on the walls. As support in the low frequencies, There are also two passive subwoofers with DAS ES18 bass enhancers..

As a culmination, The installation includes a rack with DAS E11Even amplifiers Sound EP-2K4 y EP-6K4 (one of each), two processors EP-260, and several amplifiers from other manufacturers rescued from a previous installation in the venue.

The EP-6K4 is used for the ES10 boxes on the main dance floor and the EP-2K4 amplifiers for the ES6 speakers installed on the second level.

When asked about the use of DAS Audio's E11Even Sound Series loudspeakers in The Palace project, Kwan explica: «ES-10 speakers offer perfect sound, plus the necessary dispersion and the right look for the main dance floor.
