After its acquisition in April 2021, Exterity has officially become Vitec, coinciding with the presentation of Prism, the new high-performance IP transcoding platform.

This announcement marks the beginning of the successful integration of the French IPTV and digital signage provider Exterity in Vitec, after it was acquired by the latter (more details in Digital AV). According to the statement, the new organization, which has incorporated the orange distinctive of the integrated company into its logo, will continue to offer a wide range of solutions in all its markets, leveraging the combined experience of your teams.

The current integrated company now has 375 employees in sixteen countries, and continues to work with Exterity staff and locations, so Vitec has acquired the company's rented building in Scotland, with the aim of boosting its operations this year.

In parallel, the company has jointly developed a next-generation, high-performance IP transcoder: Vitec Prism, enabling conversion of IP video content to the correct format to suit a wide range of devices and applications.
