Fluge at Teatro Eslava

Fluge Audiovisuals has deployed all the resources for the installation and start-up of the audiovisual infrastructure of the Slavic Theatre: lighting, sound, video, motorization, trusses and communications.

After carrying out a complete renovation of its space and leisure and culture offer, the Slavic Theatre of Madrid has opened its doors. The new space has a complete AV equipment that has provided Fluge Audiovisuals.

The emblematic Slavic building, opened in 1871 as a performance hall in the central Arenal street of Madrid, is part of the cultural heritage of the city, being a benchmark in the entertainment sector in the capital. In its more than 150 years of history, the room has witnessed great experiences, hosting a café inside, a variety room, a theatre, a concert hall or television set, becoming the epicenter of the Madrid movida in the years 80.

Since last March, after the integral renovation of the space and its reopening under the name of Teatro Eslava, the historic theatre promises to remain a benchmark for leisure, combining cultural heritage and tradition, with avant-garde and modernity, in a wide cultural offer.

The main attraction of the new offer is the sum of different pieces connected under the same roof. Inside will coexist several types of experiences, scheduled in different time slots during the week. The space has four different configurations for each of the activities: show dinner Olé-Olá, Events, club/nightlife and live concerts.

A complete AV equipment

Olé-Olá is an avant-garde flamenco show accompanied by a typically Spanish gastronomic experience, the direct promotion of international DJ sessions aimed at an adult audience, local and international, general and VIP; the direct promotion of live music of different styles, with national and international artists, through live concerts and the rental of MICE event space, with the possibility of hiring theater catering.

To carry out this project has had the interior design of Philippe Starck, one of the most influential and well-known architects and designers worldwide. The challenge of its comprehensive reform was to adapt to the needs of the different activities to be housed, turning it into a multipurpose space, diverse and changing, creating a pleasant atmosphere that guarantees viewers an experience that incorporates the latest audiovisual technology.

more than 24 boxes with DMX connections, audio, data, fiber optics and current with Socapex connectors have been deployed in the environment, all of them custom-made and designed to meet the quality requirements that were needed.

Three main control rooms have been implemented for lighting and sound, interconnected with all the boxes of the space and the main control of the theater. This allows you to use all kinds of signals (analog and digital) without having to add extra wiring, allowing to be more efficient in the celebration of events.

They have been used 2,5 km of Socapex wiring, 5 km of Cat6A data cabling, 55 Socapex connections, 1 km of fiber with connections up to 32 pairs and 1 km of DMX data . For the development of this infrastructure, Carlos Torrijos and Javier Isequilla collaborated.

As for the provision of video, Fluge Audiovisuales has been in charge of designing a hybrid video system, unifying the multi-screen system Dataton Watchout 6 and content management software Blocks.

The room was equipped with an immersive video system composed of 20 monitors 70 inches of Sharp distributed by the walls of the theater and 3 large format Led screens. The main screen has dimensions of 6.5×5 metre, with a secondary break of 7.5×5,5 meters and a primary break of 8.5×6 metre. All of them with a pitch of 2,9 mm and controlled by the system Novastar 4K.

Thanks to an independent distribution of video signals with the HDBaseT protocol to each display, you have the possibility of generating environments and immersive effects in the room.

It also includes the NDI technology of NewTek to capture the video signals needed in the room, regardless of the type of event. likewise, Fluge Audiovisuales developed the supports of the side displays of 70 inches to integrate the moldings and create as a result the effect of artistic paintings.

In addition, the hall's historic exterior frames were adapted to replace the old paper announcing the concerts with high-brightness outdoor screens whose content is controlled by the Blocks software. This software allows content management with time scheduling and easy use, including the ability to make these changes remotely.

Fluge Audiovisuales has also been in charge of the installation, commissioning and programming of the motorization system and trusses of the room. Included 28 engines Movecat located in the comb and chamber of the theater, remotely controlled with a touch control surface I-Motion Basci-C of the same brand.

More than 35 meters of truss HD3x of Eurotruss, 24 m of the HD4x model and a total of 24 meters of the ST model to house all lighting equipment, sound and Led screen, as well as the stage dress. To finish, different programs were made to hide both Led screens and scenic dress depending on the event to be held.

As for the sound installation, signal processors have been supplied, a complete DJ system, Microphones, a control table Digico Quantum 225, a large PA system and room speakers of the KV2 Audio brand.
