Hiperwall 8.0 optimizes video wall screen management by zones
This new version of the IP-based software platform of Hiperwall enables professionals to better manage content integrity, by assigning users access to specific areas of the video wall.
Rated by Hiperwall, digital signage and video wall control solutions provider, as one of the most important updates to your software, the version 8.0 Unlocks features that dramatically improve content integrity, system performance and data sharing.
These features that Hiperwall now includes 8.0 are especially important for the management of professionals, mainly in control rooms, network operations centers and other critical environments.
Specifically, the function HiperZones for zone control and permissions for this type of critical environments allows administrators to have the integrity of the content displayed, by reducing the possibility of unwanted interference, in addition to having the capacity to define multiple access control zones in a video wall.
The latter is especially important to maintain order within a control room., primarily during mission critical operations, as it allows only designated operators to access, Share content and manipulate your assigned area on the video wall.
Combined with a license HiperOperator, a user has access to share content remotely in their assigned zone from any Windows PC or tablet. Administrators with full permissions can access all zones or regions of the screen; move objects between them and occupy the entire video wall when necessary.
“Our software-based AV over IP architecture gives us the freedom to constantly innovate powerful video wall control features that our customers can easily use through an upgrade,” he explains. Stephen Jenks, chief scientist and co-founder of Hiperwall-. The version 8.0 “will prove to be one of the most significant upgrades for customers with mission-critical operations.”.
As the manager adds, “The new HiperZones feature adds a powerful layer for user and content management that maintains information on each site, while providing unprecedented control of system operation to administrators.”.
Simple and organized exchange
Due to the complex network security requirements many government agencies have, security and network operations centers, Sharing content between multiple video walls can be challenging and compromise the integrity of network security.
The version 8.0 from Hiperwall adds HiperCast Pull, a solution that simplifies configurations of HiperCast (that connects Hiperwall video wall systems no matter where in the world they are located), and allows content to be shared between the various video walls of an organization, without any network or server changes.
“HiperCast Pull was created with direct feedback from several customers,” Jenks emphasizes.. Many large organizations with multiple video walls, connected to very high security networks, need to share content between their various locations. Instead of going through the network firewall by port forwarding to each Hiperwall system, we simplify the process by telling drivers to pull content from the HiperCast server, which reduces security risks”.
Users now have a HiperCast Pull button at the bottom of the sources tab that, after clicking, gives access to a video wall menu on the network to connect and, later, select which sources require to be available, reducing the clutter of unnecessary content sources.
The new HiperSource Streamer+ technology enhances the display capabilities of Hiperwall-certified HiperView PCs and modern UHD displays by now supporting a continuous output of 4K content at 60 fps.
Due to the improved technology on which HiperSource Streamer+ is based, content flows are more efficient than ever, allowing Hiperwall video walls to support more simultaneous content streams from a single HiperSource Streamer PC.
