Creative Technology crea un escenario Led de 360º para Nordisk Film Shortcut

The advanced technology installed by Creative Technology, made up of LED panels ROE Visual, makes this well-known Danish studio the first in the world to have a fully covered stage on the wall, floor and ceiling.

Located at the headquarters of Nordic Film in Copenhagen, one of the oldest film studios in Denmark, the creation of Shortcut Led Stage has been possible thanks to the installation work of Creative Technology.

Shortcut Led Stage es un 360° Led stage, con 16 meters in diameter and six meters in height, with walls and ceiling completely covered in LED panels, in which producers, visual and commercial companies, filmmakers, etc. can roll creatively and flexibly.

This project, which began last year with the planning of the 360º Led stage by Creative Technology and the preparation of the building and the ground for the installation, that weighs more than 33 tons. First of all, A steel structure was assembled as a frame on which to mount the rest of the construction.; cabling was deployed and rack rooms were built.

“We started with the curved LED section and then built the roof, that was raised to be able to continue working on the same. The last phase consisted of placing the doors”, explains Lennart Franksson, Creative Technology project manager.

Although the original plan was to start building the Led ceiling first, the team had to rethink the process due to a delay in transporting the panels. “Our ship was stopped for a month, loaded with most of the Led panels -Franksson remembers-, due to a strike in the port of Hamburg, so we had to negotiate with the supplier and ask them to change the port to Rotterdam, where it was unloaded and transported by truck to Copenhagen”.

After the delay and haste in the installation, “a completely enveloping 360º LED stage was finally achieved, something that remains relatively unusual, since many are built with an opening and cannot be closed completely”, Franksson points out.

This Led construction is mainly based on the High-performance, transmission-grade HD-Led panels on camera Black Pearl BPv2, along with the Carbon Black y Black Marble 4 Matte, the latter for the ground, of ROE Visual.

“We also make the most of the Ghostframe technology frame remapping from this manufacturer, very useful in virtual production”, states Ole Bergström, Creative Technology project manager.

The company was also responsible for the installation of the multimedia servers Disguise, that reproduce graphics on LED screens, with a total of nine units: cinco RX2 which render graphics which are then sent to four VX2 and the Led processors.

“The RX2 renders the graphics that Nordisk Film Shortcut creates in Unreal Engine so that they can be used in a 3D space - says Bergström -. “This type of work requires incredible processing power and these machines are very powerful.”.

The resulting Led stage works with energy 100% verde and it is the first full-scale in northern Europe in which advertisements and films can be shot without having to travel to several locations, nor wait for the light or time to be right for your scenes.

As Franksson claims, “This is the largest installation project we have ever undertaken.”, and it has been impressive. Its enormous size allows the Nordisk Film Shortcut team to place vehicles, boats and even airplanes within the Led stage, which offers virtually unlimited opportunities for creativity.”.
