Mediapro Group helps take a multi-sensory journey to the world of Sorolla
Vision, Videoreport y Rez Studio of the Mediapro Group have participated in the development of the exhibition “Sorolla through light”, combining a multi-user virtual reality experience and sensory rooms, that have more than 230 m2 of Led screens.
Mediapro Group He has been responsible for the technological production and the virtual reality experience of the exhibition “Sorolla through light”, that will bring both the artist's work and his person closer to the general public. This exhibition can be seen starting this Friday, 17 February, in the Genoa Halls of the Royal Palace of Madrid.
The hybrid exhibition combines the original paintings of Sorolla (24 works selected by Blanca Pons-Sorolla y Consuelo Luca de Tena that have rarely been exposed) with digital recreations and the latest technology.
Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in a sensory experience in two rooms covered by multipantallas Led (more than 230 m2) where hundreds of moving images made up of paintings of different formats will be shown, photographs and newspaper articles, accompanied by drawings and personal writings.
This way of displaying the painter's work enhances the light of the works that characterizes Sorolla.. Videoreport (company belonging to Mediapro) has been responsible for the installation of the screens and the sound in these rooms.
Besides, The culmination of “Sorolla through light” is a multi-user experience of virtual reality which will mean a trip to the author's time. More than 30 visitors will move simultaneously, as if it were a time tunnel, to the time of the Valencian painter.
It is done from an unprecedented perspective, thanks to virtual reality technology, being able to move freely around his original studio and walk with Clotilde and María on Malvarrosa beach, inside your boxWalk by the sea”. This VR experience has been developed by Vision (Mediapro), with the collaboration of the Virtual Production unit.
Rez (Mediapro Group) has been in charge of adapting the entire space of the Royal Palace that the exhibition occupies.
“Sorolla through the light” is organized by Light Art Exhibitions, in co-production with National Heritage, he Sorolla Museum and the Sorolla Museum Foundation. The exhibition will be open until 30 June of this year at the Royal Palace of Madrid and is part of the program of activities commemorating the centenary of the painter's death (1863-1923), declared an Event of Exceptional Public Interest (AEIP) by the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
The exhibition is curated by Blanca Pons-Sorolla, great-granddaughter of the painter and expert in his work; and Consuelo Luca de Tena, former director of the Sorolla Museum. The Karmachina studio is responsible for the direction and production of multimedia content under the supervision of Gianfranco Iannuzzi, pioneer in the realization of immersive experiences, whose works are currently present internationally from New York to Tokyo.
The project is part of the program of activities commemorating the centenary of the painter's death. (1863-1923), declared an Event of Exceptional Public Interest (AEIP) by the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
