PPDS brings Tenstar driving simulators to life
Tents enters a new reality, by the hand of PPDS, with the installation in your 700 simulators 1.900 Philips D-Line professional displays.
From tractors to trucks, passing by fire engines, forklifts, harvesters and cranes, the swedish company Tenstar Simulation has resorted to PPDS to give life to your simulators, replacing the existing ones with 1.900 HD screens Philips D-Line high resistance in its modern training facilities.
PPDS has announced that 1.900 of its Philips D-Line UHD professional displays 49 inches (49BDL4031D) have been selected and installed to bring advanced and highly immersive simulation experiences to Tenstar Simulation training facilities.
To improve the performance of future machinery operators, Tenstar Simulation is a Sweden-based training center for the transportation sectors, emergency vehicles, construction, agriculture and traffic.
This innovative concept was developed to prepare students, beginners and professionals alike to safely operate heavy machinery in simulated environments, with a dynamic true to reality, including even hardware (seating, armrest, controls) from manufacturers in the sector.
With the mission of minimizing emissions and increasing efficiency without physical risks, Tenstar Simulation has become a world leader in its field, serving more than 14.000 users every year.
All the company's simulators have been developed by expert engineers, in close collaboration with the main players in their respective sectors. To ensure a smooth transition from digital space to physical world, graphic and mechanical realism were critical factors. These include machine instruments, the dynamics, single and multi-user scenarios and realistic image quality.
Con 700 simulators available, Tenstar Simulation needed a high-quality, cost-effective visualization solution to create immersive experiences for its customers..
To make your vision a reality, partnered with PPDS for a customized solution that met all requirements. On the whole, they were installed 1.900 Philips D-Line displays to create an immersive simulation experience for every user.
With a combined average of 160.000 hours of screen time per year, These were chosen for their robustness and energy efficiency, as well as its Full HD resolution. These are connected directly to each simulator, allowing the Tenstar Simulation team to update their software and monitor performance on a custom basis. Modular configuration of screens allows versatility for each machine, ensuring that each experience represents the machine training scenario.
This installation resulted in a significant increase in positive user comments, while contributing to reducing environmental emissions and risks to the safety of people and machines.
“The Tenstar development team works hard to deliver cutting-edge graphics and, naturally, there is a great demand for large screens to display that software. We received a lot of positive feedback about the screens. It is a crucial part of our hardware and our simulators”, comment Freddy Lund, CEO of Tenstar Simulation.
Benefits:
- Robust operation: Philips D-Line displays are designed for intensive use, making them the perfect choice for continuous operation in Tenstar Simulation.
- Modular design: Each simulator can be adjusted by adding and removing screens to ensure a realistic and immersive experience in any scenario.
- Reduced emissions: Tenstar Simulation's mission to reduce emissions for a greener, cleaner future is achieved by digitizing heavy machinery training.
- Multi-simulator connectivity: Screens can connect to multiple simulators to create a multi-machine environment (MME).
