Airtame Share to Call

The new Share to Call feature of Airtame, available through its hybrid conferencing platform, makes it easy for in-person participants in the room to share their screens during virtual meetings.

As part of its commitment to a seamless collaboration in business and educational environments, Airtame has developed the new Share to Call feature, that resolves one of the biggest conflict points experienced in the hybrid meetings.

Share to Call allows anyone in the meeting room instantly share your screen in a call from Zoom o Microsoft Teams without the hassle of joining the call from your personal device (in which they have to mute their microphone and speaker, turn off your camera and then start sharing).

“Having to join a call with your own device just to share your screen – even though he is in the room where a meeting is already taking place – “It is a major annoyance that the industry has adopted and has yet to change in a way that is truly easy and intuitive for the end user.”, states Susan Lund, Airtame CEO.

With the new Share to Call feature “any meeting participant within the room can share content instantly, instead of having to go through the unnecessary process of logging in to share screen. “This new feature makes hybrid meetings truly equitable for everyone.”, subraya Lund.

Besides, Share to Call eliminates audio feedback when participants forget to mute their system before joining a share call. Also save battery, since the user's computer does not have to use its resources to run a conference, as well as bandwidth on the local network, as those in the room do not have to load all the call content on their devices.

With this function, users can share your screen in three ways: as host of the room that initiated the call, as a local participant in the same room and as a remote participant.

Once shared, the user's screen is visible both locally in the meeting room and to remote participants using Microsoft Teams or Zoom. In the first case, Screen sharing possible via Airtame desktop app, which will be compatible with Miracast, AirPlay and Google Cast in the near future.

Share to Call is now available in the offer Airtame Hybrid, as long as the device firmware is updated to the version 5.2 and the aforementioned application of the company to the version 4.6.3.
