Digital Projection promotes the mapping of the benefit concert 'Austria for Life'

Broadcast live on the country's main public television channel, ORF 1, It featured a spectacular video mapping on the façade of the Schönbrunn Palace (in Vienna), which took the form of a historical musical work, with a special emphasis on the role played by this eighteenth-century building.

"We love doing projections on historic buildings. We have done this at the Vienna City Hall, at St. Stephen's Cathedral, at the Natural History Museum and, now, at Schönbrunn Palace", Explains Gerald Herlbauer, Owner & CEO of 4Youreye, who was in charge of the installation of the projectors, Video Mapping, Sound reproduction and media server operation, during the two-hour show.

For Herlbauer, An essential condition was that the mapping projection should be distinguished and appreciated on television, without skyrocketing the budget. To fulfill this premise, specifically indicated that they should be used seven Titan projectors 37000 and two M-Visions 23000 of Digital Projection, that combine the performance of three ultra-bright chips (37.000 Lumens WUXGA) of the previous model, with the powerful and economical equipment of a chip (23.000 Lumens), respectively.

"It takes a lot of high-powered projectors to get to the brightness you need, Well, it's the minimum requirement for these images to look good on TV. Often, This translates into a higher budget for the teams, that the customer is usually not willing to pay," he stresses. All seven of Digital Projection's Titan projectors were used in portrait mode; five of them were placed in a single structure through 90 meters from Schönbrunn Palace, and two were used inside the stage to illuminate the side walls of the building (Left & Right).

the Video Content for Austria for Life 2023 has been the work of Media Apparat and Modulux with projectors provided by ETHA International, Local Digital Projection Distribution Partner. For the show, 4Youreye combined the nine projectors with two media servers Pixera of AV Stumpfl (one main and one reserve), having a total of eight WUXGA outputs.

Despite the challenges posed by time pressure – as 4youreye only had three hours a day in a week to achieve a perfect projection – Herlbauer was forced to make some adjustments during the live show- "It was intense, But it was worth it in the end: The result was an impressive live show, with many actors and singers; horses, Carriages, bands and artists bringing Austria's history to life, while raising money for young people".

The organisers of Austria for Life were equally impressed "by the captivating visuals and features offered by Digital Projection's technology.
