Randstad creates an immersive experience center with Pixera

Bourgonje acted as lead integrator for the innovative corporate facility, using a total of seven Pixera four systems and one Pixera mini media server from BY Stumpfl.

The Dutch HR service provider Randstad has inaugurated its new immersive experience center at its headquarters in Diemen, near Amsterdam. Bourgonje has been in charge of its realization using multimedia server technology Pixar de AV Stumpfl.

The experience center was designed to support the organic creation of meaningful connections between new talent, Randstad customers and employees, both virtually and in person.

The experience center at Randstad headquarters can accommodate up to 180 visitors, with the ability to add a virtually unlimited number of online viewers.

Dutch audiovisual services provider Bourgonje acted as lead technical systems integrator for the innovative corporate facility, using a total of seven Pixera four systems and one Pixera mini media server in the process.

With Pixera-based setup, programmed by Sander De Schrijver, Dave Vos and Sebastiaan Genz, You can access various sources of content, combine them, play and control them completely.

The content of unreal engine, the linear content or the Hyro narrative content of Purple (via NDI) can be used in the experience center to take presentations to a new level of immersive depth.

Live content and online meeting platforms, as Webex y Google Meet, are fully integrated so that hybrid events can be broadcast live from the Diemen experience center to the entire world.

The ability to seamlessly display high-resolution informational graphics and video content across a large surface area can also help presenters visualize complex topics and stimulate interesting discussions..

Virtual studio

Using the experience center as a complete studio xr, Randstad can render virtual worlds in real time to create innovative and impactful online experiences, either as a live broadcast or as a recording, allowing Randstad employees to fully explore their creativity in new and inspiring ways.

The main screen configuration has been set to an indoor Led model ROE Ruby of 6.400 pixels wide with a pixel pitch of 2,3 mm and an additional floor with a pitch of 4 mm, combined with PTZ cameras of Panasonic and eight projectors Epson of 20.000 lumens each, allowing a wide variety of high-end systems.

Pixera has proven to be the crucial technology solution to integrate the wide variety of high-end on-site systems. Virtual set extensions have been combined with the ability “sidecar” by Pixera, which refers to its ability to handle the input of Unreal content using a texture sharing approach.

Real-time tracking was also integrated into the Pixera-based workflow., using the solutions FreeD y Stage Precision to fully automate XR studio.

The projections on the three screens were calibrated with the technology of Vioso, natively integrated into the Pixera system.

An audio system was implemented 13.2 to enable a full audio and video experience when the room is used as part of an immersive experience with an audience present.

Full control of the cameras has also been made possible, the switching, audio and all lighting devices on site, even allowing automatic loading of color presets with Pixera control and multiple touch screens with UI (user interfaces) brand.

In total, Pixera controls more than a hundred devices in the final configuration. The event solution has been completely automated, so everyone can manage all functions in XR configurations or even in normal presentation broadcasts, without the need to have many technicians operating the system on site.

The setup has been designed so that only one or two people can have full control of the audio systems, video and lighting after a brief briefing.
