Crestron Adds Smart Features to Automate VX in Microsoft Ignite
The Automate VX multi-camera switching solution from Crestron, certified as Microsoft Teams Room Device, adds a new layer of intelligence to reframe participants if they move during a meeting.
Certified as a room device Microsoft Teams for large spaces, Crestron Automate VX solves the problems of equitable meetings placing several optical zoom cameras around the room and using voice activated switching that moves seamlessly between speakers, providing a production-quality meeting experience.
Rooms equipped with Automate VX have historically taken advantage of the preset tracking and audio pickup to determine which camera captures which speaker based on their location within the room.
This latest update adds facial and torso detection intelligence, allowing cameras to track body movements and reframe participants based on their position or whether they move.
For example, if a chair slides to the left or a participant moves back into their seat, Automate VX can capture those movements and reframe you so you are always focused on the shot..
“While intelligent video solutions and equitable meeting experiences have been a priority for many organizations in recent years,” he explains. Sam Kennedy, Senior Director of Product Marketing at Crestron-, “The market has had difficulty finding a solution for large meeting rooms and multipurpose spaces.”.
In this sense, Kennedy emphasizes that “our clients need replicate seamless collaboration that has been dominated in the smallest rooms and scale it to your meeting and training spaces. “Automate VX stands out among multi-camera solutions to simplify these challenging spaces and bring that consistent meeting experience to these high-value rooms.”.
The goal of these intelligent Automate VX tools is to create a better experience for participants and improve room maintenance for administrators.
As far as integrators are concerned, these updates simplify the installation process by removing some of the precision needed for configuration and replacing it with intelligence that allows for a more adaptable system.
