With a wide and versatile visualization proposal, the participation of the Korean multinational LG grows in each edition of WHEREAS, which this year has materialized both in meters of exhibition space and in surprising the professionals who toured the pavilion 3 of Barcelona Fair – Gran Via before entering your booth.
This is what he points out Ivan Gonzalez, Information Display Sales Head en LG Electronics, when analyzing the latest news that they have presented at ISE 2024. “This year we were lucky to have a largest booth, with more than 1.700 m2, what has allowed us show all our display solutions, both those that are already on the market and the latest news that will be available soon, in different usage environments”.
Before entering the booth, LG already made its technological advances clear to professionals by welcoming them with a shocking Kinetic Led installation. “It is the main attraction to our space, composed of a huge Led screen, of 3.67×6 metros, with pixel pitch 1,5 mm y 800 brightness nits, formed by different types of cabinet assembled to create a 3D structure to display the content while also offering depth, with a much more striking and spectacular result, synchronized with sound.
Once inside the booth, the professional has been able to meet different usage scenarios with the different series of LG screens for each of them. “This is the case of systems OLED transparent that we already had on the market, mainly the 55” solution, that can be integrated into certain furniture and offer different functionalities, to which is now added a 35” screen, also with a touch version, and systems Led Stretch de 37 inches”.
González explains that these transparent OLED screens are shown operating in each environment created at the stand., such as retail or hospitality, and that they are also connected to technology partner systems from LG that offer content, interactivity, among other functions.
Another innovation that this manager highlights has been a versatile double sided solution, “with a screen 86” outdoor led for the window, with a shine of 3.500 nits and a pitch of 1,5 mm. In this same chassis, the interior face locates a LCD de 75” 4K, con 500 nits, for application at the point of sale. Besides, We also have a new display for this environment to showcase the series XS4J”.

LG has also created a large area to show its latest developments for the health sector and medical product, “a growing area,” says González.- in which we have been working for years and we bring our entire portfolio, with high precision screens”.
The vertical of hospitality, in which LG is a consolidated reference, has materialized at the stand with an integrated hardware and software proposal, with cloud-based solution Pro:Centric, IPTV systems “to send IP signal to each of the monitors, connect with the hotel's CMS, have user information about their preferences, as well as doing the checkin/out from the screens themselves”.
One of the novelties that Iván González highlights is the incorporation “of the OLED technology that we have in the domestic TV range to this professional environment, with optimal black and contrast levels, that make the image even more realistic and spectacular and with 4K content for the hotel guest”.
Virtual production and LG Magnit
Increasingly in demand, This growing market segment has been even more represented at the LG stand at ISE 2024, with the creation of two virtual production studios: a smaller one for educational applications and training, and another focused on the broadcast field, advertisements and cinema.
“Both are based on tecnología Led Chip on Board (COB), which is also present in other areas of the stand, whose reference is ours sistema Magnit, the highest range in LED technology, with different functionalities - González points out -; con 136” all-in-one devices with 1.5mm pixel pitch; another system micro Led premium 110” consumer-oriented with pitch 0,6 mm and very low energy consumption, as well as 171” signage. Besides, we have more equipment in format 21:9, that are increasingly in demand in corporate rooms”.
Also highlight a small area in which the manufacturer deploys its cloud developments, of software for remote control of screens, content management, as well as solutions to use programmatic advertising and audience measurement, “all with our webOS operating system, which is compatible with CMS systems of most of our partners”.
Iván González concludes that “the entire LG team is always surprised at ISE by the capacity for innovation that our company has to guide effective solutions to different verticals.”. It's not just about creating products without further ado., but to develop them so that they make sense and add value and that they really solve people's needs, as shown in our logo and commitment: technology that improves people's lives.
