Russound series D: new generation of multichannel amplifiers
Composed of D890 models, D1290 y D1675, with eight, twelve and sixteen channels, respectively, the new D series Russound It is designed to expand a sound system to more areas or add greater audio output in outdoor areas.
The series D represents the new generation of multichannel amplifiers Russound, that offer power, flexibility and ease, in an elegant format for control eight to sixteen channels, which is made up of three models: D890, D1290 (now available) y D1675, of eight, twelve and sixteen channels, respectively, to expand a sound system to more areas, add audio output in larger rooms or outdoor areas where higher output volume is required.
“When designing the D series we wanted to offer an amplifier that not only met our high standards of performance and quality, but also will improve the installation experience”, explains Charlie Porritt, CEO of Russound.
Thanks to it, It is possible to configure each of the amplification zones without any equipment, since it is only necessary to place the switches on the back. “This characteristic,” adds Porritt- Helps installers save an incredible amount of time on any multi-channel amplification project, in addition to offering them the flexibility and reliability to satisfy the needs of their clients, while maintaining an acceptable budget”.
When creating the D series, Russound has also achieved one of its design goals: reduce the size of amplifiers y, at the same time, improve your feature set. These models have smaller chassis sizes and offer up to 90 watts per channel on models D890 and D1290, which in D1675 is located in 75 watts.
As far as functions are concerned, Russound has included new D series amplifiers easily configurable audio filter options: any stereo pair, zone or speaker bridge connection can be configured to generate three different options.
Full range sound allows between 20 Hz y 20 kHz on connected speakers. Low-pass filter makes it easy to receive only low-frequency audio signals, of approximately 20 Hz a 160 Hz, perfect for support passive subwoofers that add extra bass to the room.
For your part, The high pass filter allows the zone or channel to focus only on the highest frequencies (from 80 Hz onwards), without wasting energy on lower frequency sounds that the speaker cannot provide and which can overwhelm the room's audio.
Besides, This new high pass filter protects the amplifier avoiding impedance oscillations unnecessary noise from speakers trying to generate lower frequencies that they are not capable of producing.
D-series amplifiers offer up to three different input options for each channel. Installers can use two available bus inputs for any channel, or a dedicated, allowing any system to be precisely tailored to your needs.
By combining multiple zones of audio amplification in a single chassis, Any installation can easily grow and expand to other areas without the need for separate amplifiers and audio connections for each space. One device can power multiple speakers or bridged for applications that demand even more power.
D-series amplifiers also offer three ignition modes for easy setup of any audio system. This includes Always On, which ensures that the amplifier is ready 24/7; Signal Sensing, to reduce your energy consumption to less than 0,5 watts of power when not in use, but still turn on quickly, y 12V Trigger, making it easy for the installer to customize when it turns on and off.
The twelve-channel D1290 model is currently available on the market, while the sixteen-channel D1675 amplifier will be marketed next May and the eight-channel D890 equipment in September.
