ICON Multimedia will install its Deneva Traveler Information System on the Green Line in Tel Aviv
The Spanish company ICON Multimedia has been awarded the contract to deploy its Traveler Information System Deneva on the Green Line of the Tel Aviv Metropolitan Tram (Israel), in collaboration with Alstom.
Managed by Metropolitan Mass Transit System Ltd (NTA), the new Green Line of the Tel Aviv Metropolitan Tram is the mass transportation system, Light Rail, planned for the metropolitan area of this city of Israel, that will significantly improve the passenger experience through cutting-edge technological solutions.
In this project, digital signage software developer ICON Multimedia, based in the Spanish city of Palencia, has been the successful bidder, in collaboration with Alstom, to implement your Deneva Traveler Information System.
The solution of centralized communication will be integrated into various formats of pantalas Led located on platforms, lobbies and video wall format, throughout the 62 stations that make up the Green Line, that will extend 39 km and will connect various key areas of Tel Aviv.
This will ensure that passengers receive clear and real-time information about tram schedules, service announcements and other important communications. The planned opening date of the line is first semester of 2027.
Challenges and collaboration
One of the biggest challenges of this project is the integration of Deneva with the subsystems of the Israel Ministry of Transport (AGAINST), along with the centralized public address system; which are crucial to ensure that the information provided to passengers is accurate, timely and safe.
Besides, This systems integration will contribute to improve connectivity between different modes of transport, like buses and trains, of the city. This will not only optimize travel times, but will also improve urban mobility.
The close collaboration between ICON Multimedia, Alstom and the Israeli Ministry of Transport will be instrumental in overcoming these challenges and delivering a integrated and efficient public transportation system.
This is what he points out Enrique Hornos, CEO of ICON Multimedia: “We are excited that our Deneva Traveler Information System has been selected for this important project, and very grateful to be able to collaborate with Alstom and the NTA in the development of the city's railway communications network. Our commitment is to offer innovative solutions that improve the passenger experience and contribute to the operational efficiency of railway operators.. This project not only represents a technological challenge, but it reinforces our presence in the global market”.
