DirectOut Maven SeeSound

Compact 1RU design, Maven is the new DSP that DirectOut has incorporated into its professional audio solutions, now available in Spain through SeaSound, offering an optimal balance of form factor and power density.

Maven is the new device digital signal processing (DSP) of DirectOut that favors the possibilities of integrating audio equipment for sound engineers, system and AV designers, maintaining the power and versatility of your serie Prodigy.

Compatible with its predecessor Prodigy.MP, the new Maven offers in a compact 1RU form factor the same DSP capacity, which reinforces its flexibility and expands your range of applications, as it can be used with a variety of audio network formats, included Dante, AVB/Milan, Ravenna/AES67 y SoundGrid.

These features make Maven an ideal solution for live applications, facilities, remote productions, studio recording and transmission of audio signals, now available in the Spanish market through SeaSound.

Besides, are modular design and architecture facilitates its adaptation to the needs of any project to integrate into decentralized configurations in AV installations, big and small, in which flexibility, reliability and interoperability are crucial.

DirectOut Maven SeeSoundThis is what he emphasizes Jan Ehrlich, CEO of DirectOut: “Maven offers an unlimited DSP feature set, uncompromising reliability and flexibility in a 1RU-only form factor. “This innovation responds to customer demand for a more compact and even more modular platform.”.

Maven is part of the Audio Solution Model (ASM) from DirectOut and expands the portfolio of intelligent hardware platforms towards smaller solutions, allowing users to extend their systems with additional functionality, control protocols and plugins to create a custom solution to fit your requirements.

Housed in a compact 1RU chassis, the system Maven.A, offers a capacity of up to 400×402 audio channels. This intelligent platform has a powerful FPGAs plus a processor, which can be expanded according to individual application requirements.

For example, Users can cover the main shell with modules as needed and select licenses to run the application, available at a granular level to add only the part that is needed at the moment.

Regarding connectivity and redundancy, Maven offers bi-directional sample rate conversion, automatic entry management for until 32 input managers and EARS (enhanced automatic redundancy switching), for automatic failover from a full input port to a backup one.

The control of all these features is managed by Globcon, a tool that manages all DirectOut devices over a network, either on Mac or PC, which is complemented by a local touch screen to facilitate an overview. Besides, are offered third party control protocols as options, including Ember+, OSC, SNMP y JSON-API.
