London-based Half Moon renews its sound with Martin Audio FlexPoint

The stage of this historic London pub and concert hall is now equipped with FlexPoint FP15 loudspeakers from Martin Audio like new audio system, together with subwoofer, amplification and processing from this manufacturer.

Along the banks of the Thames, on London's Putney Bridge, the emblematic concert hall Halft Moon has hosted some of the most important artists of the show, as The Rolling Stones, The Who, U2 and more, in the last sixty years, despite being a small place, with capacity for just 220 personas.

Your sound system, installed almost a decade ago, was reaching the end of its useful life, hence James Beck, chief engineer of the room, decided to change it. “I knew the brand well. Martin Audio and when I heard its audio quality I was very impressed. We had an update in mind, since I had never been entirely happy with the old system, and I felt that this emblematic place deserved a better one”.

The first purchase was four wedge monitors LE200 “that surprised everyone compared to what we had. “So we started talking to Martin Audio to improve the FOH.”, Beck adds..

The main system is powered by a pair of VIA5002 amplifiers by Martin Audio, and all signal routing and equalization are handled through a DX4.0 processor from this manufacturer.

“The FlexPoint speakers fit perfectly into the venue,” says Williams.. They are the right size and a great price.. “It is a huge improvement over what they had before.”.
