Clear-Com updates communications between Kunstmin theater venues

He Teatro Artmin has chosen the Arcadia system of Clear-Com for its ability to integrate wired and wireless digital communication into a single platform.

He historic Kunstmin theater, located in the heart of Dordrecht (Netherlands), has undergone a communications transformation with the installation of the Clear-Com Arcadia Central Station System.

The recent upgrade replaces the theater's outdated intercom system and connect your two locations, Theater y Energy House, through a unified, state-of-the-art communication platform.

The chief technician of Kunstmin, Bart Meester, shares the reason behind the decision to switch to Clear-Com. “We had been using two different systems for years: one Clear-Com digital system and one wireless FreeSpeak II, combined with an analog ASL party line. Although they gave us good service, It was time to opt for a more modern solution”.

After careful research and multiple demonstrations, Kunstmin chose Clear-Com's Arcadia system for its ability to integrate wired and wireless digital communication into a single platform.. “Clear sound quality and wireless communication in all our venues made Arcadia the obvious choice”.

Kunstmin operates in two locations: el theater Schouwburg y Energiehuis, a multifunctional space used for workshops and rentals. They are located half a kilometer away and are now interconnected with fiber optic cables, allowing both sites to share the same intercom system.

“We can use our four rooms independently or join them as a single large space, all controlled from the Arcadia system”, Meester explained.. “The FreeSpeak II wireless beltpacks allow our team to move freely between the two locations without losing communication.”, which is crucial given the nature of our work”.

Meester also highlighted the system's ease of use for visiting artists and technicians.: “The Clear-Com system is so intuitive that we can confidently hand it over to external users.”, something that was not always possible with our old configuration”.
