Genelec motivates the training sessions of the Finnish XO Center with sound

More than twenty Smart IP speakers from Genelec They accompany the attendees who come to this Finnish sports center in their training in all areas of the facility.

XO Center is the new addition to the Finnish health and wellness scene; a versatile sports and fitness center located in Kerava that offers everything from personal training to paddle tennis courts, a traditional gym, group exercise, relaxation in floating, massages, even a restaurant and cafe.

In this environment to take care of both body and mind, sound is a fundamental element to motivate the people who come there in all areas of the center. The Finnish integrator Praecom Oy has been in charge of designing the entire XO Center audiovisual platform and has opted for the Smart IP speakers from Genelec for audio system.

“The solution covers different areas, including paddle tennis courts, the gym, the spa and spaces for individual classes. They all required different audio content, at different levels of reproduction - explains Mika Mäkelä, account director of Praecom Oy-. Genelec is a company recognized for its excellence and sound quality, “So we knew their speakers would offer exactly what we needed.”.

Praecom selected five speakers Genelec 4420 Smart IP; thirteen models 4430 and two roof 4435 to offer uniform coverage and the most appropriate sound quality for the different areas of the center.

This is what Mäkelä adds: “paddle tennis courts are huge rooms that posed reverberation problems, something we took into account when designing the system. We decided to install three compact speakers 4430 to offer clarity, uniform coverage and reduce echo”.

In the restaurant and cafe, next to the paddle tennis courts, three speakers have been installed 4420, all connected to a keyboard Crestron C2NI which allows you to easily and quickly manage all the audiovisual elements of these spaces and also the paddle tennis courts..

Other models 4430 Smart IP are distributed throughout the fitness rooms, the gym and the new space Skill XO, a new fitness training concept that combines fast-paced muscle conditioning exercises with aerobics using modern high-intensity gym equipment.

In the room Skill XO, with more and more followers in Finland, Genelec Smart IP speakers 4430 offer high quality background music, controlled with Crestron C2NI and a system Audiophony Mi3 for the mix.

To address specific audio system needs in XO Center, Praecom has used the software Genelec IP Manager, that configures everything from device detection to equalization so that each individual Smart IP speaker performs at its best.
