Decentralized architecture

Panasonic Connect in collaboration with Intel y Hive present a solution based on decentralized architecture that aims to transform creation, management and experimentation of audiovisual content in sectors such as entertainment, art and education.

The new decentralized architecture, driven by the Intel Smart Display Module (SDM), offers a modular approach that optimizes infrastructure and significantly reduces operating costs, energy and logistics. With the integration of BeeBlade, the Hive multimedia engine, and Panasonic's advanced projection technology, This solution offers an efficient platform, sustainable and easy to implement, which can be used both in fixed installations and on international tours.

The new decentralized architecture not only optimizes the technical quality of immersive experiences, but also represents a more sustainable and efficient solution. The lower energy consumption of the devices and the reduction in the need for transportation and wiring reduce the environmental impact, aligning with global sustainability commitments.

As pointed out Hartmut Kule, director de marketing europeo de Panasonic Connect, “with this solution, We are marking a before and after in the immersive entertainment industry, offering technology that not only improves the public experience, but also responds to environmental challenges”.

Immersive entertainment

Traditionally, Immersive experiences have depended on a centralized architecture, where all key components are grouped in one main technical room. This approach has been effective in fixed installations, but presents great challenges in mobile environments, like entertainment tours. These require large volumes of wiring, complex installations and expensive transportation, which limits the flexibility and scalability of productions.

Faced with this challenge, Panasonic, Intel and Hive have joined forces to develop an architecture that distributes content processing directly through projectors or screens, eliminating the need for a central technical room. This innovative solution reduces both complexity and equipment volume, facilitating transportation, setting up and setting up events, allowing tours to be more agile and efficient.

He HR Intel offers high graphic performance, compatible con resolutions up to 8K HDR and advanced technologies such as 5G and Wi-Fi 6E. The projectors and screens of the technology company, equipped with Intel SDM slots, allow you to easily integrate multimedia servers. BeeBlade the Hive, integrated into projectors, eliminates the need for a centralized control room, reducing cabling and ensuring precise content synchronization.

Counting on these elements, The decentralized architecture offers key advantages such as cost reduction, with savings of up to 30-40% by eliminating servers and centralized control systems. Its modular design improves flexibility and scalability, facilitating expansion without large investments. Besides, reduces energy consumption and carbon footprint and simplifies facility maintenance, extending the life of equipment without the need for costly replacements.

BBC Earth Experience

Success stories

The decentralized architecture is already being successfully implemented in various facilities, like the BBC Earth Experience and Melbourne, where technology has facilitated precise synchronization of content in a 360 degrees with more than 127 million pixels.

At the exhibition The Sistine Chapel Heritage in Warsaw, Decentralized technology has allowed the Sistine Chapel to be recreated in the city's National Stadium. These examples highlight how decentralized architecture not only improves the user experience, but also optimizes logistics and energy expenditure in large-scale events. In both cases, The solution based on Panasonic projectors with Intel® SDM and Hive's BeeBlade multimedia engine has allowed the creation of high-quality immersive experiences.
