Powersoft and Coastal Source develop outdoor amplifiers

The long collaboration between Powersoft y Coastal Source has now been reinforced with a strategic OEM agreement, focused on the development of an outdoor audio amplification platform for the latter company.

The Italian specialist in audio amplification and signal processing Powersoft has signed a OEM strategic agreement with the American supplier of high-performance outdoor sound systems Coastal Source, fruit of their long technological relationship, to develop a new line of amplifiers for use in harsh outdoor conditions.

Taking advantage of advanced Powersoft technologies, The new line of amplifiers for Coastal Source is designed to offer a high performance in difficult outdoors, “combining power management, durable construction and a perfect AES67 network integration”, as stated in the statement.

As stated Franco D'Ascanio, founder and CEO of Coastal Source, “We share with Powersoft the same passion for incredible sound, reliability and efficiency, customized for each application. Achieving high performance in harsh outdoor environments is no easy task, and that is why our collaboration is so special and gratifying”.

The new range has eight custom amp models high efficiency, durability and advanced energy management for outdoor installations, where the humidity, Salt air and extreme temperatures are constant challenges.

The new range of amplifiers, which is in the final phase of development, will begin shipping this May as part of Coastal Source's product portfolio to raise the level of outdoor audio.
