Lightware Ubex 10G OF AVoIP

The Ubex platform of Lightware is a reference for AV solutions over IP 10G, capable of managing 4K60 signals 4:4:4 uncompressed for high video quality, with very low latency, ensuring a lag-free experience.

Lightware has renewed focus on its flagship platform Ubex AV over IP, which highlights the growing demand for 10G solutions in the markets of live events y rent.

Many organizations still rely on 1G networks, sufficient for small-scale applications such as classrooms and corporate meeting rooms. For these scenarios, the platform Gemini GVN from Lightware ensures cost-effective and reliable performance. For large-scale live productions, esports and rental applications, The transition to the Ubex 10G platform is essential to ensure high-quality image and audio content.

“While 1G systems remain a smart choice for everyday audiovisual applications, Ubex is the ultimate tool in situations where every pixel and every frame counts”, states Gergely Vida, CEO de Lightware. “With its 10G capabilities, “Ubex delivers exceptional performance for the most demanding live events and rental applications.”.

Lightware's Ubex Platform Sets the Standard for 10G AV over IP Solutions, capable of managing 4K60 signals 4:4:4 uncompressed for high video quality, with very low latency that guarantees a lag-free experience.

Unlike traditional AV over IP systems, requiring transmitter units (TX) and recipients (RX) independent, Ubex combines both functions in a single device and can even operate on transceiver mode (TRX). This flexibility offers simplified logistics and faster implementation, plus optimized scalability, making it ideal for live events where adaptability and speed of delivery are vital.

He multiview mode Allows users to view four video sources on a single screen using the device's first output. These can be arranged in flexible layouts with perfect scaling. Meanwhile, the second output can handle a single stream or copy the same Multiview layout from the first output. This is very suitable for control rooms, live events, emissions monitoring, video walls and collaborative spaces, where operators need to watch multiple streams simultaneously without latency or quality loss.

Con compatibility with Dolby Atmos serial, Ubex ensures crystal-clear audio signals reach their destination exactly as expected, no compression, latency or cuts. Also supports copper and fiber optic connectivity, giving system designers and integrators the flexibility of short or long distance AV over IP signal transmission.

Designed for reliability, Ubex is a reliable option for live events where downtime is not an option.

Two parallel 10G Ethernet links to carry video and data streams provide the bandwidth necessary for the transmission of very high resolution signals.

To ensure robust redundancy, The system can be pre-programmed to handle cable errors. Different logical rules can be configured to reduce bandwidth needs in these cases, so that a low quality signal can reach the receiver through a remaining cable.

For secure installations, Ubex is also available in a version with Tempest SDIP-27 Level B certification, which meets strict NATO standards and makes it ideal for defense and intelligence projects where reliability is crucial.

A rental version of Ubex is also available, designed specifically for live events. Improved build quality is designed to withstand the demands of transportation, frequent handling and installation, with more robust connectors, More durable housings and stronger anchor points.

Immersive experiences

Lightware's Ubex has been used to deliver immersive experiences in the live events industry.

Lightroom, London's new exhibition space, has used the Ubex 4K capabilities and 10G network support to create an uninterrupted canvas of 360 grades of the work of artist David Hockney.

Similarly, Mirror Mirror in Adelaide, Australia Meridional, used Lightware's Ubex AV over IP solution to transport signals from a central control room to six exhibition zones.

“Ubex has revolutionized large-scale signal delivery for our largest projects”, states Leko Novakovic, general director of Novatech Creative Event Technology. “We were confident that it was the best option for a delivery 100 % Reliable and versatile critical programming and control signals for long-term activation”.
