Ciudad Real promotes tourism through interactive screens with AI
Awarded to the company iUrban, The Tourism Department of this town hall has launched a pioneering project of interactive screens, guided by an AI platform that personalizes the visitor experience.
The new comprehensive tourist care system, presented by the Ciudad Real Town Hall and promoted by its Tourism Department, combines interactive screens latest generation with a digital platform equipped with artificial intelligence that offers visitors and neighbors an accessible tool, intuitive and available 24/7.
The project, with an investment of 142.999 euros, is framed within the Tourism Sustainability Plan in Destination (PSTD), financed with European funds NextGenerationEU, placing Ciudad Real at vanguard of smart tourism in the community of Castilla-La Mancha.
Translation and multilingual service
The system offers multilingual attention, with content available in Spanish, English, French, German, Portuguese and Italian. He virtual assistant and chatbot They can respond in different languages, automatically detecting the user's and offering real time translation, even with voice support.

Smart tourism platform
The new tourist microsite incorporates a AI-based virtual assistant that provides information about monuments, museums, gastronomy and events, in addition to generate personalized itineraries according to the interests of each visitor, as well as pre-designed thematic routes, as Ciudad Real in two days o Family visits, and the creating dynamic tours from the interactive screens themselves.
The platform integrates tools big data to analyze, aggregated and anonymous, visitor behavior. Some valuable metrics that will be used to design loyalty campaigns, satisfaction surveys and continually improve content.
The City Council of Ciudad Real has already installed two devices: one in front of the Tourist Office and another at the entrance to the Elisa Cendrero museum, that were presented on 27 September, coinciding with the celebration of World Tourism Day.

The project has been awarded to the Malaga company iUrban, recognized for its technological solutions in the tourism field and for its work in artificial intelligence, with the development of similar initiatives in more than three hundred Spanish municipalities.
