Biamp strengthens its audio portfolio with ClearOne assets

Professional audiovisual solutions provider Biamp has reached an agreement to acquire the assets of ClearOne, including its intellectual property and trademarks. Acquisition adds signal processing designs and patents to its technology portfolio.
For more than two decades, ClearOne engineers have advanced the field of audio conferencing with contributions in DSP, acoustic echo cancellation, microphone array processing and beamforming/beam steering techniques (beamforming/beam-steering).
Assets acquired include designs and several patents related to beamforming microphone arrays and innovations related to audio signal processing.
