WSDG conducted a detailed technical review of the proposed design, provided key optimization recommendations and oversaw final system calibration to ensure optimal performance.

This update was long awaited. for years, River Plate depended on temporarily rented sound systems, installed at field level, which caused uneven coverage and low intelligibility. The original system, installed for the World Cup 1978, had become obsolete both technologically and functionally.

“A new sound system was non-negotiable within the renovation project,” explains Rodrigo Álvarez, main architect and head of works of the River Plate Atlético Club. “It was essential not only to improve the public experience, but above all to ensure safety. We are looking for partners with proven experience in stadiums, and that is why we called WSDG”.

The final solution combined arrayed distributed point source loudspeakers mounted in the box area, all managed through advanced digital processing to maintain sound coherence throughout the venue. WSDG also applied its experience in Interior Technical Design (TIME – Technical Interior Design), improving sound quality and speech clarity throughout the stadium.

Integrate a state-of-the-art system in a stadium built in the 1990s 1930 presented structural and logistical challenges. “We had to verify and reinforce aging concrete structures, modernize electrical systems, and coordinate each installation between games and events,” adds Álvarez. Despite these limitations, “We achieved a system that integrates harmoniously with the architecture and significantly elevates the overall experience of the venue.”.
