Extron Provides Wisconsin MSTC with Room Reservation Panels

TLS TouchLink programming panels Extron installed in every room at Mid-State Technical College (MSTC) help students, teachers and others to get to the correct rooms, at the right time, when moving through the hallways to attend classes and events.

El Mid-State Technical College (MSTC) of Wisconsin has recently opened the Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, and Apprenticeship Center, a state-of-the-art training center aimed at training the next generation of precision machining and inspection technicians, robotic machine maintenance, unattended manufacturing, automated manufacturing and process control automation.

Between its four campuses and the AMETA Center, The MSTC has more than 120 classrooms and meeting spaces. These spaces are reserved with the academic and event programming platform 25Live. TLS programming panels work like 25Live clients over campus LAN and were configured using the software Extron Room Agent.

Bradley Russell, Vice President of Information Technology and Director of Information Security at Mid-State Technical College, points out that “The main factors that led us to select the Extron TLS touch panel room scheduling solution were compatibility with 25Live, the features and functionality that met our needs and the price. Extron Room Agent and Toolbelt software allow us to easily make necessary configuration changes”.

TLS programming panels are configured with Extron Room Agent software, that works with all the most popular calendar services, included 25Live. Con Room Agent, programming panels graphical user interfaces can be customized to display specific meeting information required for any application or to comply with any institutional standard. Extron collaborated with Mid-State's technical team to improve the version of Room Agent software provided to the school. Enhancements allow TLS scheduling panels to format 25Live data into display fields that display the necessary information in formats that best fit the school's specific needs. Room Agent enhancements Extron developed for Mid-State are now standard features available to all 25Live users.
