Kramer modernizes Dicky’s Surf Club AV system

Kramer offers a high-performance network audiovisual system to Dicky's Surf Club (Australia) that provides flexibility, reliability and a superior audiovisual impact to this emblematic coastal venue.

Located on the spectacular Queensland coast, in Australia, Dicky Beach Surf Club is an important community center and lively meeting place for members, locals and visitors. From early morning patrol briefings to lively weekend activities, The club spaces host a constant flow of activity. To improve these experiences, the place needed a versatile and easy-to-use audiovisual system, capable of withstanding all types of events, from live sports and community performances to private events and celebrations.

Aware of the need for a reliable networked audiovisual solution, scalable and high quality, the club turned to the integrator Box Security Sound & Vision, with control system programming by Smart Home Programming. Together, designed and delivered a solution Kramer AVoIP providing seamless video delivery, zone control and powerful audio performance, all optimized for the club's dynamic daily operations.

The surf club wanted to transform its audiovisual infrastructure to meet various operational needs, including multiple entertainment and presentation areas in bars, dining rooms and training areas. We needed a system that could seamlessly switch between them and that, at the same time, was solid and easy to use”.

A flexible approach

To offer that flexibility, The integrator deployed a red troncal Kramer AVoIP based on KDS-EN7 encoders and KDS-DEC7 decoders, that provide 4K lossless video and with low latency throughout the premises. And switch PoE+ gestionado Netgear GSM4248P constitutes the core of the network, ensuring smooth communication between devices and reliability even under demanding usage conditions.

Each of the eight HDMI sources, including broadcast signals, media players and event tickets, is encoded and distributed to 18 screens spread throughout the venue. Four additional decoders feed a processor NovaStar H2, that controls a stunning LED wall Unilumin of 1,5 mm (3 m x 1,68 m) in the main area of the club.

Control of the six zones is managed through the platform Kramer KC-VirtualBrain-1, programada por Smart Home Programming. This provides intuitive, centralized control of the screens, audio levels, Source selection and lighting presets.
