Lg Brompton Studio V

The Led VP solution LG and Brompton Technology's Led Tessera processing platform are at the core of Studio V, the new and largest South Korean production set to drive the future of content creation.

The Led solution for virtual production of LG is already in operation in Studio V, an advanced studio recently inaugurated within StudioCube, in Daejeon (South Korea), considered the largest public filming complex in the country, and now goes one step further with this large-scale facility that consolidates Korea's growing momentum in the cutting-edge content creation and reinforces its presence in the global entertainment market.

“Virtual production is redefining the future of content creation, and at LG we are committed to promoting this transformation - he assures Nicolas Min, responsible for the area Information Display Business in the division LG Media Entertainment Solution-. Studio V offers a world-class environment that sets a new benchmark in immersive production, allowing K-content to expand its reach and impact to a truly global level”.

Specifically designed for immersive virtual environments and cinema, Studio V has a great main wall of Led screens, configured in the shape of J, that reaches up to 8 meters high and 60 wide.

To adapt to different shooting needs, The space incorporates a Height-adjustable roof and movable side panels. The roof system is composed of three motorized and independent Led sections, capable of moving vertically and performing tilt movements, offering exceptional flexibility in scenario creation.

At the core of Studio V's Led space is the VP Led solution, developed by LG specifically for virtual production (model LBCJ026), which offers a performance of broadcast quality, with a refresh rate of 7.680 Hz and scan structure 1/8, which minimizes visual effects such as flickering and ensures flawless capture by the cameras.

This Led screen reaches a coverage of 99,07% DCI-P3 color space, offers deep blacks, high-level HDR support and reproduce digital environments with exceptional realism and fidelity. Their ultralight modules, of alone 5,9 Kg, integrate precision locking systems that allow adjust the curvature smoothly in a range of -5° to +10°.

To support the entire content creation workflow, LG's portfolio also includes OLED Pro professional monitors, widely used in production, color correction and post-production thanks to its optimal precision and chromatic consistency.

Integrated environment

To achieve a fully integrated environment for production, LG has worked closely with Brompton Technology, reference in video processing for LED screens. Thanks to the joint optimization of the system architecture, Color calibration and real-time rendering performance, This alliance guarantees perfect synchronization between LED screens and video processors.

Specifically, 19 procesadores Led Brompton Tessera SX40 4K y 38 Tessera XD 10G data distribution units They form a powerful system to control this huge Led display space, with a total of 94,7 millions of pixels on various screen configurations, which guarantees perfect image quality throughout the system thanks to the advanced processing technology of this manufacturer.

The result of this impressive technological combination of LED display and processing is that Studio V meets the international standards broadcast and integrates smoothly with the usual production equipment in the sector.

Beyond technical excellence, Virtual production with LED technology provides important environmental and operational benefits. By replacing large physical settings with 3D environments generated in real time, This innovation significantly reduces material waste and carbon emissions.

Besides, Other advantages of this advanced studio are the immediate visualization of scenes and the possibility of accelerating filming times., achieving more agile and efficient production schedules.

In this sense, LG continues to strengthen its virtual production technology (VP) combining decades of display innovation with practical experience in filming environments. At its North American headquarters, located in New Jersey, the company operates his own VP studio, equipped with the pantalla Magnit microLed, where he produces commercial content in collaboration with HSAD, your global in-house creative agency.

This direct participation in real production flows provides valuable knowledge that feeds the continuous improvement of LG's VP technology. “We will continue to invest in sustainable innovation and strategic alliances that increase production efficiency and provide more capabilities to creators around the world”, concludes Min.
