7thSense serie S: ultra-compact 8K media server
Designed for installations where space, energy consumption, weight and noise should be minimal, but maintaining high performance, the S series 7thSense offers uncompressed 8K playback, 4Multichannel K and WUXGA in a small device.
The new serie S which has just been presented 7thSense is designed in a ultra-compact format to mount behind screens, inside digital kiosks, interactive installations, museums, etc. where space is limited, but high performance is required.
It is uncompressed 8K server, 4Multichannel K and WUXGA is developed to deliver frame-based multimedia sequences and generative engines in real time, with a high level of power and reliability.
“With the S series, The objective was to bring the quality of uncompressed media to a broader audience - he points out John Higgins, 7thSense Engineering Director -. It is powerful enough for sophisticated installations with projection maps and LED screens., and compact enough to be integrated into projects where traditional servers are not compatible”.
S series, now available in the market, supports up to three 4K channels 10 bits 4:2:2 a 60 frames per second; four 4K channels 10 bits 4:2:2 a 30fts; four 4K channels 8 bits 4:2:2 at 60ft or up to four WUXGA channels 10 bits 4:4:4 a 60fts.
Creators can combine movie playback, live capture, generative content and effects, with integrated deformation and combination, Synchronized playback of multiple servers, NDI preview and comprehensive external control.
Another fundamental feature of the S series is its energy efficiency, since it consumes under 83 watts managing four simultaneous 4K outputs, in addition to its silent operation.
“Many customers require exceptional image quality in spaces where larger servers cannot fit.”. “The S series offers exceptional playback capacity in a format that fits in one hand”, assures Ed Patchett, commercial director of 7thSense.
